The Musee des Beaux Arts is built in Nice in the former mansion of Elisabeth Vassilievna Kotschoubey, a Ukrainian princess. The private mansion was constructed in the year 1878 while the museum opened in 1928. The museum has been named in honour of the artist Jules Cheret whose last years were spent in this city. The museum is home to a huge collection of art spanning the last 400 years. Painting masterpieces, exquisite sculpture, and splendid ceramic art find pride of place there and are a huge attraction, drawing art lovers from far and wide.

Musee des Beaux Arts can be reached conveniently by availing the public transportation services of Nice. The museum is located at 33 Avenue des Baumettes and to arrive by bus, visitors need to board bus number 3, 9, 12, or 22 to reach the Grosso stop and number 38 for the Cheret stop. From there they can walk down to the museum. Another option is to avail the services of a taxi or car rental, which will bring them to the museum. Europcar and Fox-Rent-a-Car are car rental services that visitors can avail to reach their destination, easily.
