Dining

Seafood and Tropical Fruits
At Mantaray Island the coconuts are plentiful and in season, so are guavas, pineapples, mangoes and other fresh fruits. Everyday you can have your fill of the most succulent seafood, including crayfish and local fish, which are caught daily from nearby waters. We do not hesitate in serving you a colourful abundance of the tastiest and freshest traditional Fijian dishes and European cuisine.

Friday night is reason to celebrate as our Chef prepares a traditional lovo, an underground barbecue in which an entire feast is cooked over hot rocks while buried in earth. While sampling the feast which emerges from the lovo pit is a most enjoyable experience, the preparation is equally tantalising. Compulsory Meal Package of F$87.00 is payable on the island

This may not be a 4 or 5 star resort but it offers a wonderful snorkelling and diving experience!

PROS: Fantastic snorkeling and diving experience which is the main reason for going there. Good variety of food and plentiful. Budget priced accommodation for singles and couples. Plenty of shade. Friendly staff. Free kayaking. Beach volleyball. Evening entertainment though very brief and aimed at young people. You can meet people from all over the world here. Relatively easy (3 hr) ferry access from Port Denarau CONS: The resort is hilly and involves climbing steep steps (unavoidable). It is highly exposed to the strong easterly Winter trade winds. No spa or swimming pool. There are no flushing toilets here and hot showers are provided only in the expensive jungle bures. This resort does NOT cater at all for FAMILIES.

Love Mantaray

We only stayed one night, not enough time to do all activities there. snorkling is awesome and manta ray swim is the best experience. the location is not bad, 3 hours ferry from denarau, which is good for island hopping. no hot water shower for dorms and tree houses.

Fiji's Best Island

The toilets are the best. Drinking water available on tap. So many dive sites to choose from. Bar prices are the best around.
