Awesome resort at Pacific Harbour

The staff were excellent, facilities A grade and nice location easy to get to. We stayed in one of the beach villas, it has it's own private beach area outside the villa up to waters edge. It is only a 10 minute easy walk into the main shopping village of Pacific Harbour The bed is a king size bed and very comfy, the villas are we'll he villa I laid out with a huge internal bathroom and an private outside shower area with a door allowing access to the beach without having to stomp wet through the living area.

Value accommodation

I got an extremely good rate on th intent but would I have booked this property if I knew there was no aircon or tv in the garden bure? Probably not. It was not something I thought I'd need to check in Fiji but clearly my mistake. The room itself was very clean but also very dark and of course with no air conditioning, quite hot. Evening meals were excellent & good value but continental breakfast a bit ordinary but you are able to purchase a cooked breakfast as we'll an the price I reasonable.

Flavour of Fiji

Uprising Beach Resort is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations are extremely comfortable but also give the visitor a taste of Fiji. My garden bure was delightful and only a short stroll from the beach. The usual hotel amenities were there - daily cleaning, fresh towels etc and the grounds were groomed and the pool cleaned each morning. The continental breakfast was generous with a good selection catering for most tastes. I enjoyed the porridge although i never got around to asking what it was made from - not oats anyway - but deliciously full of fruit and nuts. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and equal in quality and presentation to restaurants in Australia for a relatively modest price. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're seeking something more than the usual hotel experience. Here you can be comfortably accommodated while still feeling you're in a different country.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Nearby Zip Fiji is an amazing experience not to be missed. You can be collected from Uprising as well as other resorts and hotels, even as far away as Nadi. Full instructions are given and the guides are extremely helpful during the adventure and even take photos of the zip line trip. A head for heights is an advantage but I managed and am not good with heights. At all times aloft the safety harness is attached, giving a sense of security. This is a truly unique experience, one you really should not miss.

we (family of 5 - older children)

we (family of 5 - older children) stayed at uprising for 6 nights in 2 of the new beach front bures. the bures were spotless, bathrooms fantastic, and the outside shower was great fun. the staff were wonderful, very helpful with anything asked of them, they helped us to organise a few of the day outings that we did. the location is beautiful, not white beaches if that's what you're expecting, but beautiful nonetheless. the restaurant was great, most mains between 10 and 20FJD, a mixture of Fijian food and fish and chips, burgers etc. breakfast was basic, but could always find something to fill you up. overall we thought it was great value for money and would definitely stay there again.
