Lovely Get-Away!

My husband and I were looking for a relatively cheap trip to Nadi. After reading the reviews for Club Fiji we were keeping our expectations low. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The location is quite remote but we genuinely were looking for a week on the beach, nothing else. The resort offers a daily shuttle bus to the Main Street ($5FJ/pp, round trip). The hotel offers a free shuttle bus when you arrive at the airport but you gave to get a taxi back to the airport ($15FJ). Our beachfront bure (Number 5) was perfect for us. Comfortable bed, clean and spacious. It was quiet and a stone's throw away from the beach. The furniture was a bit dated but it was fine. Remember, you get what you pay for. In this case it wasn't glamorous, it was just fine! Our breakfast was included in our package and you had two options - either a continental or cooked breakfast. Both were good. We had all our meals at the resort. The supper menu had a great selection. I am a vegetarian and like to 'eat light'. Having said that, I wish they had more options for myself but my husband is a 'hearty' eater and the portions were very generous and he said the meals were delicious. The meals varied between $16-30 on average. Only one complaint. We ate at a restaurant on the premises called JB Pizza and it took 55 minutes for our meal to arrive. They brought out complimentary bruschetta for us, but we were starving! The pizza was delicious but I would say go early and prepare for a wait. It was the first and last time we ate there. In the evenings the resort had some entertainment. We were looking forward yo the fire dance but, unfortunately, there was only traditional dances as the performers forgot their fire poles. We were disappointed as that was supposed to be the main attraction! The beach is just ok. Not deep enough to swim or snorkel. It was quite rocky. We took out the complimentary canoes one morning which was lovely. The beach chairs/beds were comfortable and most days we were the only ones on the beach! It was perfect! All in all, I would recommend this resort. Again, we kept in mind you get what you pay for. It was perfect for what we were looking for. I didn't see the crematorium that all the others reviewed! Believe me, I was looking so it's not obvious if there is one. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was a great week away and I would say 'go for it'!

Great place to overnight when going to and from the islands

Stayed here twice both when early or late flights from Nadi. Great pickup service, relaxing vibe and nice place on the beach. Not a 5 star place but neither is the price and outstanding value for money. Pickups from airport easily arranged, breakfast is excellent and the bures comfortable, clean. The staff are lovely and love the live band... would stay again!

Nice, peaceful spot

This was an out of the way resort, on the beach but separate to the more glamorous resorts of Denarau Island. The bures are nicely appointed. The only negative is tat they advertise free airport transfers. This only applies for pickups, they they organise a taxi for return to the airport after your stay. This threw me out as I didn't have enough local currency to cover the taxi fare.

Run down old resort

We stayed at club Fiji for our last couple of nights before leaving Fiji. We got a beach front room however beware the tide is out more than in and the sand is black/brown in colour and very dirty. The accommodation is very old and tired and security of the room was a bit iffy. Old style key lock. There are no TV's in the room ( this May be good for some) but we like to connect up our cameras/Gopro to view days footage and photos. On arrival we were surprised we had to find FJD$ 50 as a security deposit for your key and the A/C remote on type of having to provide a credit card imprint. There were no sealed patches to the rooms, so if you have large wheeled suitcases, it was tough dragging them over uneven ground. The property is a bit out of the way so don't expect to be able to pop into Nadi CBD if you want anything.

Great affordable resort in Nadi

It's no 5 star resort, but fantastic value for money. Close to Nadi, and a short taxi ride to Nadi and Port Denarau.

Careful not to plan too many activities on a Sunday when most places close. A good day to hang out at the resort.

good situation, road access lousy, rough, pot holed!

1st night.. slow service; 4th night.. no service-walked out 15min. later; lucky JB's next door, excellent service & food, great staff! 3rd day, breakfast.. had 2 ask for, utensils, milk,OJ, ice; But on the surprise request for my fiancees birthday, both mgr of JBs &(Nevi) GMgr of resort excelled with my request to the extreme, praised both GM & the Mgr for their assistance! Generally, fair - ordinary stay, main area some staff good, rest below average! We travelled around, hired vehicle; swam- pool nice and deep, mingled with staff & guests; only had 2 dry days, that included our departure day?

Cheap

Don't expect to receive transfers from the 'flyer', this hotel is not serviced by them, so for this reason the location is low. The beach sand is not as good as the islands. Pizza was oily and expensive. Internet access was extremely slow to the point of not usable.
