Fantastic Family Resort

Great resort that has recently been updated. Fantastic pools and restaurants. Beaches beautiful with great snorkeling. Pictures on the net don't do it justice. I highly recommend staying here.

miserable holiday

We sailed to Manage Island resort expecting a nice stay over Christmas, I must confess that snorkelling the reef was very nice, but that was created by mother nature. The room was sort of disappointing, on arrival, my fiancée discovered that the hair drier want working, I discovered that one of the towels had a hole! The food in the restaurant was not all that nice and the price was the highest I have seen in Fiji, in the second day, my fiancée was not feeling too well, so we wanted to order room service, only to find that the telephone was purely ornamental and did not work at all, so I had to leave her at the room and walkbtonthe restaurant to ask the to deliver the food. Also, nobody was capable to provide some accurate information.

An alright stay

Overall this was about a 3. Wasn't great but wasn't bad. Food however was pretty bad....and there was zero value for money eating in the restaurants. The deluxe ocean front bure was spacious and nice and the porch was fab but the bathroom was terrible - with mould and an unfinished look. We also met with 5 very fast and large cockroaches in the bathroom, the hugest gecko I've ever seen and one that dropped from the ceiling into the bed with us one night. Onto what was great - the adults only infinity pool was beautiful, the north beach snorkelling was nothing short of amazing - to have access to that off the back of a beach was a treat. And then sunset beach on a good night was beautiful as was the look out point. Staff need a desperate refresher in customer service though and while I wouldn't go back again it was still alright.

Perfect relaxing trip for our family

The most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time. The island has 2 beaches (north and south) great if its windy as one of the beaches with be beautiful and calm. We staying in and Oceanview Beach Bure which had the most beautiful view and hammock under the tree infront, the bure we were in had the option of interconnecting so it was a little noisey in the morning or night depending who went to bed early or got up earlier. Snorkelling was amazing, did it every day. We have an 8 and 10 year old and they loved it. Food was not amazing however they are in the middle of construction to build more restaurants, pool area is great but as the construction is going on you can hear work going on during the day, will be great once completed I am sure. All round great location, beautiful island. We couldnt get wifi in our rooms, you could in the communication centre but pretty slow. We didnt need wifi anyway. No TV, great. Staff lovely. We would go back after new restaurants are finished for sure. Lots of different accommodation choices.

Perfect island getaway

Part of the North side of the resort is undergoing renovation but the island is a perfect getaway place for family. Lots of water activities and water is crystal clear. No free wifi on the island.

Almost PERFECT!

We stayed in 3 hotel/resort during our stay in Fiji, Sheraton Fiji, Malolo Island Resort and Mana Island Resort. Mana Island Resort is the best one. We absolutely love the atmosphere of the Mana Island Resort, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. You can see a smiling face everywhere and "bula" to you everywhere, it made you feel you are really welcome to the resort. The Island Bure is inside the garden which is really beautiful and comfortable. The beach is also more beautiful than Malolo Island. The only problem is the food, we are not really love as it has few choices. However, i must say, I absolutely will come back if I Traveling to Fiji.

Beautiful beaches

Beaches and sea life here is amazing. If you love water sports then this island is fantastic for you. The beach has white soft sand, the sea has beautiful corals and fishes not too far from shore. Beach Bures outdoor showers are pleasant, but no TV, in room wifi and the linen and towels don't look particularly white clean probably due to the availability of only rain water. Seafood at the South beach restaurant is fantastic. Breakfast Buffet average. The view from the Adult pool is spectacular. Cocktails are meh, probably since they use cheap alcohol. It's Sea turtle sanctuary is a great idea.

OK but overrated

Great if you have a golf buggy! If not, be prepared to do lots of walking. It's on a good location between Nth and Sth beach. Staff are great! My room was good but had a patched up ceiling that wasn't finished with paint. As with most resorts in Fiji, food and drinks are expensive. The adult pool area is nice.
