The Ruzyne airport is located 10 kilometres west from the city’s centre and acts as the main entry point into Prague, Czech Republic. It is considered to be the country’s largest and busiest airport within the EU member states, receiving over 11 million passengers in 2009. The airport is excellently located, only a short distance from the city’s centre. It serves as a transportation hub, linking travellers to other airports in the European airport network. The airport has two aviation terminals and one cargo facility, providing a well-controlled entry into the country.

Bus 119 takes passengers to the Dejvicka metro station that transfers them to the green metro line, tram, or bus 100. The trip typically takes about forty minutes. Taxi companies such as Radiocab and AAA Radiotaxi also offer transfers to the city’s centre and its surrounding areas. Fares are regulated by the Prague city council and no taxi should charge more than CZK 40 per ride plus CZK 28 per kilometre.
