Statni Opera hotels
The Statni Opera, or State Opera, in Prague was developed in the late 19th century in response to the growing Austral-Hungarian population and their desire for a German theatre as an alternative to the National Theatre. However, the arts were pushed aside during war times, and the building was instead used for military meetings. After World War II, the theatre returned with a Czech focus, and was then incorporated into the National Theatre for a while under the Communist government. The Statni Opera finally regained its independence in 1990. Now, many shows are performed on here, including operas and ballets.

The Prague Airport is the closest airport to the Statni Opera and is only 20 kilometres from the city centre. The Statni Opera has a car park for those who choose to drive a private car to the show. Using public transportation in Prague is easy and convenient. If you decide to travel via tram, you can get off at the Museum stop or the Wenceslas Square stop. Take the metro lines A or C to the Museum station. The Statni Opera is a short walk from the public transportation stations, just past the National Museum.
