National Gallery hotels
The National Gallery in Prague is a vast collection of art located mostly in the iconic Veletržní Palác building in central Prague. In addition to the large number of works from well known Czech and Slovak artists, the National Gallery houses an impressive international collection that includes works from Picasso, Monet, and Austrian masters Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt. The National Gallery was started in the late 18th century by Bohemian middle-class intellectuals, who hoped to broaden the scope of artwork in Prague. It has since blossomed into the most important centre for fine arts in the Czech Republic.
