Museum Kampa hotels
The Museum Kampa is located in an old mill on Kampa Island on the Vltava River. In the late 1800s, Sova’s mill was damaged by fire. Later, Prague purchased the building and used it as a liberal arts facility. The city’s vision became a success when Meda and Jan Mladek brought their art collection to the mill in 2002 and formed the Museum Kampa. The Mladeks travelled throughout Europe during the Communist occupation, collecting art from Czech painters living in exile. This Czech artwork and the artwork of other Central European artists are on display at Museum Kampa.
- Sign your kids up to participate in an art class offered by Museum Kampa, where young children explore an amazing make-believe land of art whilst older children adventure through select skill forms like glass, structures, and optical illusions.
- Check out the view of the Vltava River and the Prague landscape along the opposing bank from the Museum Kampa terrace.
- Attend a lecture or seminar on various art-related topics to learn about Prague artists and their art forms.
