Loreta is a large church and pilgrimage destination located in the Hradcany district of Prague, Czech Republic. Loreta includes a Holy Hut, cloister, Church of the Lord’s Birth, and a clock tower that is known for its unique chime. Construction on Loreta began in the early 17th century, and since there have been many additions and renovations from famous architects such as Christoph Dientzenhofer and Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, who designed the Baroque style Face Wall in the 18th century. Loreta remains an important pilgrimage site for locals, as well as an historic monument.
