Leaf gane

We have stayed at the Chelsea many times and always had a good stay. This time though the room we had an awful noise associated with the toilet water level regulator. The noise was so loud that I actually screamed as it jolted us awake. This happened at least 3 more times during the night. Needless to say our sleep was not that good. Also the underground parking has changed since our last stay and we went in a different part. We drive a F150 which just fits, driving around the corners takes skillful driving, the parking spots are tight. On our way out one of the bolts on the overhead pipes had come loose and was hanging down. When we manovering the corner it hit the top of our roof.

Elevators are this hotels downfall

We stayed one night Saturday to Sunday at the Chelsea. From reading other reviews I took their advice and decided to call and add specifications to the room, I asked for: a room on a high level, a newly renovated room, and a city view. When I inquired about a balcony as it's an extra fee if you'd like one (I believe $20) the staff from the hotel said they would add it to my specifications and if there is one available it would be at no extra charge. I also let them know we were celebrating an anniversary. Upon arrival trying to find a parking spot was like trying to find a needle in a haystack especially since the south elevator has been broken for months....so if you don't park on the north side you have to trek up stairs or to the north elevator. There was quite a long lineup to check in however it seemed to move quickly. When it was our turn we were congratulated on our anniversary and given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe king room. This hotel has different elevators depending on what floor you are staying on. We were on floor 23 of 26, so in the blue elevators. There are six of these however only 2 or 3 were working, as it is a busy hotel this made the wait for an elevator about 15 minutes. We finally got to our room to find they had given us a balcony and all in all the room wasn't bad it did look newly renovated however the bathrooms could use quite a bite of work. We were given a city view we could see the CN tower however most of our view was blocked by the HUGE condo building in the front (which is great if you like to people watch). We had a problem with out TV as we usually bring a laptop and HDMI cable so we can use the free wifi and not have to pay for movies....well turns out they turn this feature off....we had called down to have someone take a look at it, and the handyman showed us how to take this feature off (by unplugging pretty much everything but the power cord from the back) however this made the remote not work so we had to get up to change the volume. This hotel was in a very good location minutes from the eaton centre and steps to tons of food options. We only visited the adult pool which never seemed very busy (bonus) as we were worried it would be as it is such a big hotel! The pool is a good size however the hot tub needed more water in it ( you couldn't sit without having about half your body out of water). Leaving the hotel was the tricky part...with all our bags we waited another 15 min to go down to the lobby in an elevator and then looked to see a massive line for the north elevator which took you into parking....we waited about 10 min without moving until we finally asked the concierge where the stairs were...we then had to lugg all of our stuff down to where we parked, if that wasn't enough there was also a 20 min wait to get out of the parking area as there was only one terminal open. All in all its a good hotel if you're looking for something in the heart of Toronto, however I think a little over priced.

Doesn't live up to the reviews

Myself and three girlfriends went to Toronto for a girls weekend and to see Taylor Swift. The Chelsea was highly recommended to us, so that is why we decided to book with the Chelsea. After staying at the Chelsea I don't know if I will again. Check-in took almost a half hour as there was a line throughout the entire lobby. We're all students so we had brought our laptops to do school work but the wifi didn't work on our laptops or our phones, and the staff did nothing to fix this. We asked for extra pillows and we were told that each room had a limit therefore we couldn't get any extras. Over all, it did not live up to it's hype and I don't think I'd stay there again.

Great family trip

Good place for leisure trip. Staff were very helpful, including the robot. Good restaurants in the local area and the hotel cafe served fresh hot food. Queues at reception were a bit of a nuisance but the hotel was full.

Weekend Away

The staff was cordial, but a bit standoffish. Overall, very nice. I managed to lock myself out of my room, security was super quick and very kind getting me back into my room. I was disappointed when I asked for a room high up, facing the street, I was told that would require an upgrade. No thanks. LOL The room was actually larger than some of the Toronto hotels I've visited in the past.

Awesome E-Club

Really enjoyed how the staff in the e-club lounge were not only helpful in every aspect but also friendly. It really is worth spending the extra money to have breakfast and dinner in the e-club members only lounge, tip Sushi night is the best and there eggs Benedict are fabulous.

Noisy hotel

The hotel and rooms are a bit old...Noisy hotel and lobby, only three (at some times only two) elevators were working (out of 6). During night time you will hear everyone talking in the hallway...
