Our belated honeymoon

My husband and I never took a honeymoon when we were married in 1968. We have been on many other trips, of course. But this is the one we labeled our honeymoon. My sister came with us and she also enjoyed everything. Everything was great. The staff, room, view, weather, location, were all wonderful. We bought a 4 part event package at the Table Rock and Falls. It was great and beautiful and fun and informative. You will get wet, but are provided ponchos so except for the Hornblower boat ride the wetness is minimal. But we wouldn't have missed the boat ride for anything. The valets, bellhops, and front desk men at the Marriott were all so cute and sweet and helpful. Yes, there is a lot of tipping expected. And a lot of the restaurants are expensive. But the food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed all of it. I don't know how the trip could have been any better and we heartily recommend the Fallsview Marriott. Our room was on the 14th floor with a huge picture window overlooking the falls. Fantastic!

Amazing trip

The view from the motel was amazing! The motel was right in the middle of everything. We didn't have much to do with the hotel staff so I cant comment on their service, but I will say when we were leaving I handed in my key, the hostess was quite cold and just brushed me off.

Can't wait to visit again

It was a special trip for my grandkids and we had a great time. Our room was on the 23rd floor and we spent a lot of time sitting at the window when we were in the room. We had rain Sat and Sun. but we spent most of the days outside. Love the city and so much to do even in the rain. They were most impressed when we went behind the falls. They loved the steam room and sauna. The staff was top notch and took very good care of us. Hope to visit again next year.

It was all I had hoped for as views over the falls was the main aim. Views were amazing.

Wifi was a little stressful but in the lobby it worked so ended well.

Pay for the Location

We stayed for 2 nights at the Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview in 1st week of June. The hotel is located right across the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the room offered a splendid view. There is a link bridge which connects the hotel to the skyway which takes you right to the foot of the falls and the Niagara Visitor Centre. So the premium you pay is really for the location. Other than that, service is almost non-existent. No kettle or coffee machine in room, no room slippers, service is almost non-existent. We did not purchase a breakfast package with the hotel and walked 7 to 8 blocks away to get our own breakfast at a nice cafe called Perkins (highly recommended!). We also booked a Niagara Falls day tour which takes us on the hornblower and journey behind the falls with the hotel concierge which costs 3 times more than what we could have paid if we joined the tour at the Visitor Centre so do not be hasty like we did. Overall, it's a clean, safe and functional hotel, good base for touring Niagara Falls if you're there for the view. But service wise, far from the Marriott experience we're used to elsewhere.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

During the summer months, there is fireworks over the falls every Friday and Sunday nights at 8pm. Spectacular and should not be missed!

Family Vacation

Excellent hotel, but a little pricey. Parking in particular is very steep at 30 bucks a day. No free internet either. However, the view from the upper floors is excellent. You can see right into the horseshoe falls. Rooms are huge, we got a jacuzzi in the bathroom which was awesome and the shower was super impressive. Overall, the hotel served our purpose very well indeed, but certain things need changing.

family holidays

another canadian hotels without breakfast plus no free parking as overnight parking by hotel staff cost CAD25 per-night and if park near hotel at CAD75/night which is the most expensive parking in a hotel that i come across. Wifi not available in room but only available in lobby. (why they implement such rules will cause them to lose some biz to competition). However, view is good if you are located at the right floor but you can get better view by walking down to the falls area.

Strange Experience!

Exactly what you'd expect from a Marriott: Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. The freshly-cooked omelettes were especially good. There was no parking at the hotel but the valet service was reasonable at $25 per night and the valet staff earned this twice over with their insider tips and advice. The main feature of the hotel though was the view. We were upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi, which would have been just fine anywhere else in the World, but to wake to a full view of the Horseshoe Falls was surreal and quite wonderful. What was strange was the town of Niagra Falls itself; not at all what I was expecting. It was like a miniature Las Vegas but with only the one (albeit genuine) attraction. After viewing the Falls we found the countryside and other towns in the area were far more interesting and enjoyable. Niagra on the Lake is an historical jewel, quite in contrast to the Falls and would have been a far better place to have stayed.

National Helicopters trip over Niagra on the Lake and the Falls from Niagra Airport on Hwy55. Pricey but unbeatable view of the Falls.
