Pretty good

Some of the pluses: Would have been a very good location on a nicer day (not their fault), decent walking distance to BC Place or Stanley Park. Lots of decent to great restaurants, shops, etc., in the area. Revolving restaurant was a rather nice place to unwind. The underground parking was also rather nice as it afforded a bit more security than we had experienced with other establishments. Some minuses: Really needed to watch in-house facilities, breakfast (which is not included) shuts at 10 AM and the gift shop isn't open at that time, so even grabbing a little nosh requires heading out. Not great if the night ran a bit long. The lounge shuts at 11:30 PM. To be fair, we did not eat in the restaurant, so I cannot say either way about the quality and value.

Great downtown deal

Fabulous views if you stay higher up in the tower. Modest size and amenities at a great price. Close to Stanley park and a few blocks from the center. Many restaurants in the neighborhood, Korean on the next block, and a variety within 4. Whole Foods and grocery store two blocks down. Comfortable stay, great dry cleaning service too

Second honeymoon

The view from our room on the 33 floor was exceptional regardless of the weather or time of day or night. It was central to shops. Restaurants. The water and many sights. Didn't catch the bus once in the 7 days we were there as we were able to walk every where. Would stay here again. Would look more appealing if the gave the hallways a paint in a different lighter colour was drabby looking. But for the price we loved it.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

There is a free coach from Canada Place which is walking distance to the hotel to Grouse Mountain. Then take the gondola up the mountain. Book to see the Eye of the Wind tour it is worth the $20. You get a chair lift to the top of the mountain go inside a lift to the top of a wind turbine. The view is out of this world. There is a resturant there where you can buy lunch it was reasonably priced. There is also a free shuttle bus to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Well worth the money. Allow a few hours for each. Best done on different days.

good location

Hotel is walking distance to night life, but far enough away that you can escape the noise. Close to Stanley park. Beds slightly too hard for me, but still ok. I ended up staying twice on my trip due to price and convenience.

Enjoyed our stay

We were able to check in early am which was great. Lots of restaurants close by. It would be good if they offered a simple breakfast. We had free wi fi during our stay. Vancouver is a beautiful city & we enjoyed our stay there.
