Lovely resort

Had a wonderful stay at Borei Angkor resort & spa. Keep a look out out for Mr Smey ( tuk tuk no. 5) out the front of the resort. Took us everywhere over the 4 days & was very entertaining. Pub Street is less than a 10 min tuk tuk ride away & the local evening hang out for 50c beers - doesn't get much better than that! Siem Reap & Borei Angkor will see us again!

Great hotel

We really enjoyed our stay, we originall booked another hotel but after one night there we moved to Borei Angkor due to the uncomfortable beds. Rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable but still quite hard. We have come to realise most hotel beds in Cambodia are bought at the same place however some are slightly softer than others. The hotel was in a good location from town just a set $2 tuc tuc ride away. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. My only suggestion would be that if you are looking for a very comfortable bed, or soft bed that you look elsewhere. However I would say that most hotels would be similar unless you move into a much higher price range?

Amazing

From the moment you are greeted from the airport by the hotel staff you are treated as a VIP . Each time you return to the hotel you are greeted with a cold towel and a friendly smiling face. Every staff member is so friendly and attempting to make your stay special and that is what they achieved. The hotel was brilliant.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

It is well worth using a tourist guide to visit Ankor Wat and the other temples to give you the history and their passion about their amazing buildings. Buy a multiple day pass and then you can revisit using a Tuk Tuk to look at depth at the areas. Every time we returned we discovered something different.

Very comfortable stay!

The hotel was very impressive when we first arrived. Very friendly and helpful staff who understand that when you arrive at a hotel after a long flight - you want rest and relaxation not a queue at the reception desk. The pandan tea they served to refresh us was very nice. The room was as described - comfortable, clean but not 5 star luxury. The AC in the room started leaking the first night - but was patched up promptly and we were given a pool room view the next day - which offset any negative impact. The staff had organised a temple trip for us the next day - and had arranged to move all our luggage to the new room to which we came back! Food was great, drinks were cheap and good. Only hiccup would be that their restaurants did not have a big menu so options were limited. Used the massage spa which was just amazing. All in all a very good experience ! with nothing to complain about! and only good memories!

luxury at an affordable price

I love this hotel. one of the best hotels I have stayed in. We were picked up at the airport and the driver of the van was very helpful-he answered our questions from what places to visit, the weather, where to eat etc. when we got to the hotel, the staff were very helpful in letting us feel comfortable while waiting to be checked in. Their lobby was big enough to accommodate a huge number of people. They had comfy seats while waiting. The deluxe room we stayed in was bigger than what I had expected. The beds were great and i love their bathroom. The bathtub is a thumbs up for me. I love their bathrobes as well. First time to wear one that is not white. =) The staff were nice enough to find us a tuktuk driver to take us to the night market for dinner. they were also nice enough to get us tickets for our bus trip to Bangkok. I love their food. they have great choices in their breakfast buffet. their dinner set meals are not bad at all. very affordable. the swimming pool is great too. i think this is a pet friendly hotel since i saw three dogs roaming around the pool area and no one was shooing them away. all in all...love this hotel. totally worth the money we paid for.
