Good hotel with the potential to be a great hotel.

This hotel has the potential to be a great vacation spot. The room we stayed in overlooked the pool and had an ocean view, which was great. However, the balcony was super small. The room was very clean, but the bar pool was filled with small white particles floating in it. The bar tender said that it was Styrofoam. Even though the staff knew about it, the white particles were still in the pool the next day, so I did not get in the pool. The beach chairs were dirty and should be wiped down each evening. Most of the workers were very nice and helpful, but the hotel registration staff was not very accommodating , welcoming, warm or friendly. They were pretty much all business, which was kind of disappointing. The food and drinks at the hotel restaurants and bars was pricey. The hotel entertainment was decent-a good alternative to having to leave the resort for entertainment.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Visit a section of town called Fish Fry for reasonably priced native food. The places have long waits, so don't wait until you're starved to go.

Really Good business trip

I arrived late Friday evening at the hotel for a 3 night stay (work related), and was well received by Mrs. Anishka Collie-Johnson at front desk. She, along with all of the staff members- Concierge desk, room service, the people working in the stores in the lobby, and in particular the gentlemen at the front door, the cab drivers were all friendly, yet very professional and helpful they are all truly a credit to the establishment, and service like this bodes well for the future of tourism in this country.

pool is great

Mom, 12 and 21yrs old daughters: Room is ok, little space, little coffee corner, balcony floor dirty. Pools are great! lovely landscaping. Around hotel not nice , construction sites, but Beach us beautiful. canues ans SUP great, but not allowed to take out of the swimming area, would be so nice to go and explore the beach further , Rooms especially to hallway very poorly soundproof. Sports and Bahamian craft activities are pleasent! Evening entertainment just some music, not special. Tip: take bus 10 or 12(?) to west, not direction down town Nassau: get of at Love Beach Nirvana. Very special place, lovely food, some corals to see snorkling, real friendly stuff, peaceful caribean music and atmosphere. downtown nassau Pirate museum is fun. my own beach towel was blown off the balcony and landed on the one below. we phoned immediatly, then again, asked at reception, asked security. it was gone from bellow but never came back to me, soething seemingly so simple?! Hotel stuff doesn t know much about how to get to places except by expensive Tours. but all up we had a good time.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

if You don t eat at the hotel, as this is expensive, You have to take bus 10 to west or walk 20 min to super marked. but its expensive there too, especially fresh produce. as we dont eat meat it wasca bit tricky. only fast foods available.

Check out was a little slow -

Check out was a little slow - despite 6 reception desks, only two were open, and very slow processing. Similarly, when calling reception, they took a long time to answer. When you check out, there's a feeling it's not the final bill, which wasn't ideal. Otherwise, stunning location and very clean hotel.

Hotel was seriously lacking in

Hotel was seriously lacking in beach umbrellas and the few they had were taken early in the morning by guests putting their towels down but not appearing till the afternoon. Also Very expensive hotel. $6 for a small beer and $25 for a lasagna. Found a licquor store where beers were $1.75 but no minibar in the room. Could have hired a fridge but not at $20 a night!! Used the ice machine instead. Nice hotel though.........
