Overall OK

Overall The Pearle is OK - we had higher expectations & they could do better with some simple fixes (ie. we stayed 7 nights & expected more of room cleaning than just making the bed). The cleaners tend to come at all times of the day & even clean whilst you are trying to relax watching a movie in the room which is awkward for all. The free Wi-fi didn't work at all in our room, it was fine by the pool but made it difficult to attend to work matters when several people are around.

Pleasant place, spacious apartment...

but families beware, second bedroom is outside of main apartment and therefore not suitable for young children.

Not fantastic

Admittedly I was in Broome during the off-season, and only booked a room, and not one of the Pavilions. Probably the experience in the secluded Pavilions is probably much better as it seems that the entire resort is based around this idea, but for a room, this is a pretty poor standard and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone under the age of 50. The rooms are essentially one room off the pavilion. It is very small. It has a large bathroom with a rain shower, but that's about it. It kind of reminded me of an upmarket motel, that didn't really justify the price. The walls of the room were also pretty thin, so when we stayed, there was a really noisy group of people in the adjoining pavilion. You can hear everything... Accoustically it is not very private. For a resort that markets itself as luxury - it is far from. I think the motel analogy is apt. Check out the fridge - it has plastic glassware! Also the restaurant was pretty average, bog-standard fare. Internet/cell reception - Also be warned that there is really poor mobile cell reception for some mobile providers in this resort. I asked a staff member if it were possible to find a room which did have reception and they were pretty unhelpful, when the place was not at 100% capacity, the unhelpfulness is not the type of response that you would expect from a luxury hotel. Broome is beautiful, I was expecting a much different experience from this place. I would never stay there again, but might recommend it to my grandparents.

Guest rooms are not pavilions

The Pearle is noted for its pavilion suites, with Balinese ambiance and private pools. The guest rooms, on the other hand are fairly ordinary hotel rooms, very nicely done, each with a tiny front veranda. The grounds were immaculate, staff very friendly and obliging and the breakfast cafe was good, although only for a continental breakfast. "Real" coffee cost extra which was a bit disappointing.

Very Relaxing

My wife & I have just spent seven nights escaping the Perth winter in warm, sunny Broome, staying at the Pearle. We decided on a one bedroom pavillion after amongst other things reading various reviews. An inspired choice, no complaints at all, even the private pool warmed up after 3 nights staying their so we were able to use it! The reception staff were very helpful & friendly; after stocking up in the 'city centre' we had all we required in the apartment. As mentioned in previous reviews, a car would be useful but we utilised the bus service extensively. Did a couple of tours - Willy Creek pearl farm was better than expected; our visit to Matso's brewery could have been better - the staff there could learn a thing or two from The Pearle staff, not very friendly at all. Summing up, would recommend The Pearle & would happily stay their again.
