So So Apartment

We stayed at a one bed room apartment which is spacious, well designed and appointed with amenities. And the front counter staff was always courteous, friendly and helpful. But we soon realised the following shortcomings: - poor or non-existent mobile phone and wi fi coverage. So, if you want to communicate with the outside world, you have to go outside of the apartment - We stayed for 7 nights but they only serviced the room and changed towels only once. You have to pay if you want more service - The Resort is not close to Cable Beach, a good 20 minutes walk. And there are no grocery shops nearby. -While the Apartment has an excellent kitchen, you need to drive or take a bus to get all the groceries from town or shopping centre. As we didn't bother to hire a car, we carried shopping bags everywhere. - In the Resort, there is only one small coffee shop with basic breakfast available in the morning and is closed after 10.30 am All these are not problems if there're information available on the Resort website telling guests what to expect. We didn't know about all these. Would we go back to Pearle Resort, a big NO

Bad Management

we stayed for 6 nights day 2 no room service, day 3 room half cleaned, day 4 no room service, asked to see manager - he was on 2 weeks holiday. no one in charge. Said we wanted our money refunded & we would go elsewhere, told we had to take that up with the manager who was away finally got his email address, sent email, he responded to reception that night. next day received call from reception that he would refund our money if the wholesaler would credit our a/c. the wholesaler was an overseas company and we would have to wait on their response & there would advice. we heard no more. on checking out we asked had they heard anything and they said a credit was approved BUT seeing as we stayed the full 6 days it was not applicable. we said you never contacted us and they said they rang our mobile twice but did not leave a message (they knew our mobile had no signal strength) no message left in our room in writing or message bank we have asked the manager to ring us on his return which is 23/9/13 we will have to wait & see. Your website clearly states that between April and October they have a cafe on site. By this we took it that we would be able to have lunch and dinner there, as well as breakfast. There is also a sign which points to "Cafe, Bar, Pool". There is no bar, and they only serve breakfast. The rack rate quoted for our Guest Room by The Pearle is $365/night. Your booking confirmation claims we saved $3,468 on our booking - how can that be?

Overall OK

Overall The Pearle is OK - we had higher expectations & they could do better with some simple fixes (ie. we stayed 7 nights & expected more of room cleaning than just making the bed). The cleaners tend to come at all times of the day & even clean whilst you are trying to relax watching a movie in the room which is awkward for all. The free Wi-fi didn't work at all in our room, it was fine by the pool but made it difficult to attend to work matters when several people are around.

Chill out time for a very busy business couple

In short loved the 1 bedroom pavilion . Very well equipped . Having ones own private pool was fantastic. The staff were semi efficient, but lacked warmth.I found the manner of 2 out of 3 of them very cold and impersonal .If you don't like the hospitality industry then Find another job.As for the manager I have read his answers to other people that have voiced a few concerns. His replies have been bordering on sarcastic. Not surprising then that the crew are far from warm when they are learning from the captain of the ship.Reviews are there to help people to build a better experience for the holiday maker. If each person looked at their own individual performance and tried to improve it would be a good start .I Loved the resort . To the staff I say give people eye contact when you are talking to them a genuine smile would be nice. You,r time for a holiday will come. Think how you would like to be treated. Not being mean to the staff just trying to help .We will be back smile.

They have wood fired pizza on Friday night and live music missed that as We were flying home unfortunatly

Not fantastic

Admittedly I was in Broome during the off-season, and only booked a room, and not one of the Pavilions. Probably the experience in the secluded Pavilions is probably much better as it seems that the entire resort is based around this idea, but for a room, this is a pretty poor standard and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone under the age of 50. The rooms are essentially one room off the pavilion. It is very small. It has a large bathroom with a rain shower, but that's about it. It kind of reminded me of an upmarket motel, that didn't really justify the price. The walls of the room were also pretty thin, so when we stayed, there was a really noisy group of people in the adjoining pavilion. You can hear everything... Accoustically it is not very private. For a resort that markets itself as luxury - it is far from. I think the motel analogy is apt. Check out the fridge - it has plastic glassware! Also the restaurant was pretty average, bog-standard fare. Internet/cell reception - Also be warned that there is really poor mobile cell reception for some mobile providers in this resort. I asked a staff member if it were possible to find a room which did have reception and they were pretty unhelpful, when the place was not at 100% capacity, the unhelpfulness is not the type of response that you would expect from a luxury hotel. Broome is beautiful, I was expecting a much different experience from this place. I would never stay there again, but might recommend it to my grandparents.

Guest rooms are not pavilions

The Pearle is noted for its pavilion suites, with Balinese ambiance and private pools. The guest rooms, on the other hand are fairly ordinary hotel rooms, very nicely done, each with a tiny front veranda. The grounds were immaculate, staff very friendly and obliging and the breakfast cafe was good, although only for a continental breakfast. "Real" coffee cost extra which was a bit disappointing.
