Security system is a hinderance rather than portection

You have to use your key card to open gates, operate lifts and no to mention the room door. This is all well and good but the gate is flimsy and a 10 year old boy would easily climb over. There is a set of stairs next to the lift so any prospective thief can get to your room and skip the lift. Being a senior citizen this is a real hassle when you have to carry your luggage across a few buildings and getting to your room would be like an obstacle course. There are also stairs that you have to negotiate with you luggage, a ramp would be nicer.

Good Location, Great Staff

We stayed four nights. The location is great for Matso's, is close to the town centre plus Town Beach and Mangrove resort for those watching Staircase to the Moon. The town bus service is also close. If you're after Cable Beach then location is a problem unless you have transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's not cheap, but then nothing really is in Broome during peak tourist season.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If you want the best fish & chips in Broome, drive or catch a taxi to the Wharf Restaurant out near Broome Jetty at the port. Great barra. They don't do salads, so chips or rice. They do fish curry, but the barra is too good to waste on a curry.

Staff were very Good, always helpful and all very pleasant. The restaurant was spacious and the meals were very nice. The building is surrounded by a high wall and you need a key card to get in and out including the lift. All the prices are high But then so is everything else in Broome. Overall it was a good hotel to stay in to see Broome

The steaks are not as nice as the southern states and will set you back around $39.00. Allow for paying more for lesser qaulity. You have no choice.

Ask for a room in the front!

Unfortunately I was given a room at the back of the hotel and was woken up several times both nights of my stay due to excessive noise. The room was reassonable - however finding someones used razor on the floor of the bathroom behind the toilet and having cigarett butts on the balcony outside the front of my door (even though there was an ash tray) and a blown glob in the room when lighting is usually pretty poor to start with was pretty ordinary. Overall the stay was just OK - not great.

Short stay getaway

On arrival noticed only one chair on patio, requested another from reception and received one within minutes. Information sheet given on arrival and information in room stated Sunday roast carvery, when wanting to go for dinner was told they no longer have that and had to order from the menu. Was very disappointed as was looking forward to Sunday roast. Noticed saucers used at breakfast were badly chipped, missed out on yoghurt one day and was told by chef he did not have any, next day there was 3 different types of yoghurt. This is a few minor things but overall the stay was satisfactory. If you can get accommodation at a special discount it is worth the money, I had to pay full price for the first night as we arrived one day early, B&B was not included and cost another $48 for 2 people. I would recommend it only if you can get it at 50% discount.

Two Dogs

Receptionist at checkin-in (after I found it !) was pleasant and helpful. Tears/burn marks on her uniform. Probably one of the worst sign-posted hotels I have ever stayed in. No map/plan of the hotel site or the carparks. Room was reasonably clean but quite dark earthy colors made it a bit drab. Whole place needs a repaint.. Nice big shower & Bathroom, comfortable bed. A lot of noise from the pool area late in the afternoon with kids yelling and screaming. Average hotel - a bit overpriced

Shop at Woolworths - the prices and variety of goods/foods in BME are better than Coles & IGA. The one and only McDonalds id filthy !

Average accommodation

This hotel is average in the older part, the room was clean and the location is good if you like a short walk to some attractions. the local bus service is excellent and stops right out the front of the hotel, great to get around cheaply.

The Hotel is clean and the rooms

The Hotel is clean and the rooms are well equiped with everything. I thought the food is too expensive compared to the proportion served. Also the Food and Beverage staff were very slow in attending to guests. It took 30-35mins to be served and there were only 5 guests there, but overall I would recommend it for people to stay. They provide well for families as well. With BBQ facilities close to the pool, you can save money with food etc. Parking is very secured and close to town.
