The Victorian Arts Centre is a performing arts centre located in the Southbank suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The centre consists of a number of theatres and concert halls and is part of the Melbourne Arts Precinct, a cultural hub within greater Melbourne. The centre officially opened in 1982, although parts of it were not completed until a few years later. The Victorian Arts Centre, now known as the Arts Centre Melbourne, is now host to a bevy of concerts and plays and is famous for its distinctive spire making it one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
