Eureka Tower hotels
Eureka Tower is a stunning, eye-stopping skyscraper situated in the Southbank precinct of Melbourne, Australia. At the time of its opening in 2006, it was the world’s tallest residential tower; today, it still remains one of the tallest residential structures in the world. The golden crown of Eureka Tower represents the Australian gold rush, while its red stripe symbolizes the blood spilled during the Eureka Stockade rebellion, after which the tower is named. The tower features more than five hundred posh apartments, including those on the summit levels which offer stunning views of Melbourne’s central business district.
- Climb to the Eureka Tower Skydeck 88 that occupies the entire 88th floor of the tower. From here visitors can use viewfinders to pinpoint the various landmarks 285 metres below.
- Walk inside the glass cube known as The Edge that hangs over the edge of the tower. Watch with excitement as the opaque floor becomes clear, offering vertigo-inducing views of Melbourne below.
- Eat delicious seafood as you take in panoramic views from the restaurant located on the 89th floor of Eureka Tower between the communications room and observation deck.
Eureka Tower is situated on the south bank of the Yarra River and can be found by simply looking up. The Flinders Street train station is just a five-minute walk from the tower and can be reached by following Princess Bridge. There is a car park located beneath the tower for those who decide to drive, but beware: it can be difficult to find a spot, especially on the weekends. Because Eureka Tower is close to Melbourne’s central business district, as well as Federation Square, it is best to travel using a combination of public transport and walking.
