Lovely Lorne

If Lorne only features on your radar for the annual Falls Festival, you’re missing out big time. This quaint seaside Victorian town is a total feast of good-looking nature and good-looking locals. Ahh, we’ve got your attention now, have we? Good…

If you’ve got a car, the Great Ocean Road is a real treat. A simple drive along this strip will give you magnificent views of the ocean, craggy cliffs and yellow sands. If you want close-ups of Lorne’s beauty, visit crashing Erskine Falls and the surrounding woodland, as well as Point Grey, one of the region’s most famous patches of sand and sea.

While tens of thousands of people make their pilgrimage to the legendary Falls music festival each New Year’s, the rest of the year sees this picturesque village receive its fair share of non-spaced tourists, too.
