Relaxation trip in Hobart

Brilliant location for a hotel. Short walk to city centre. Had a great time sightseeing and on day trips around Hobart and the Huon Valley. Staff were pleasant, professional and helpful. Biggest downer was the spa bath not working.

Great location

A wonderful view from the window. The same for all rooms with the hotel stretching along Elizabeth Pier. Balconies one side full length windows the rooms on the other side.. Very good space and kitchen although I feel the bathroom was a little tired.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

So close to everything including the Salamanca markets and the CBD. we had a lovely dinner at Fish Frenzy which is within the same complex. Had a yummy brekkie at a small bakery cafe called DACI and DACI. We woke to a lovely view of the boats in the harbour. Quiet but still close to everything we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay again. Staff were so welcoming and couldn't do more to help. Very enjoyable.

Great harbour location

Got upgraded to a 2bed apartment... Which is more like 1 bed + study. But hey, still an upgrade! Room is clean and living quite spacious, with 2 baths a bonus - very handy with 2 kids. Acoustics aren't great - can hear your neighbours so assuming they can hear us, Decor and furniture also dated, with kitchen bench peeling. Oh, and there's only heating in the bathroom which is not adequate for cold Hobart nights! Best thing is location. Fantastic views, walking distance to Salamanca.

Great stay and superb location

We were pleasantly surprised when there a slight mixup with our booking the extra things Somerset did to improve our overnight stay. On arrival, we received a bottle of wine as well as a room upgrade and a voucher for parking during our stay which greatly enhanced our stay. Staff were kind and helpful and being close to everything made this hotel a definite winner!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Other than Salamanca, try some of the little restaurants in Battery Point - De Angelos is a winner
