Amazing view

This hotel is set in the heart of the barossa looking out over the hills, it's a lovely place to retreat to and simply sit and enjoy the beautiful view from your room or balcony.

Nearly time to renovate

We enjoyed our stay, but more so because it is ideally located in the middle of the Barossa. The rooms are looking tied and are in need of a major renovation. The meals at Harry's Restaurant are 5 star, but the same can't be said about the service and staff which is a real pity.

Comfortable and affordable

2nd time stayed at this hotel. Staff were friendly. Booked 3 rooms and they were all up to standard. Breakfast was included and it had enough varieties for breakfast. Overall experience was great. Ordered room service as it was all booked out for the restaurant. It arrived quickly. Only thing dislike was using takeaway paper boxes for fish & chips and aluminum container to store the scotch fillet steak. Would prefer using proper plates.

Nice short break country getaway

Great rural views from balcony. Relaxing break, staff helpful and room clean and fresh. Visited iconic Barossa wine and food locations, returned to room and shared a platter with friends who were also impressed with the room.

Check out Maggie Beer's produce and St Hallett wines. Golf Course 100 metres away is a challenging par 72 course with great greens.

Fabulous location.....but disappointing service

We have stayed at this hotel before & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was therefore disappointing to not receive similar service when we recently returned. After returning (from a wedding) after midnight, we found our room had not been made up or cleaned that day. When ringing reception to complain, we were treated particularly rudely by a female staff member, who insisted we had left our room too late in the day for a clean to be done (we left at 2pm, given the wedding began at 3pm). We were given no notice that a clean would not be done after a certain hour, and (despite what staff insisted), we did not receive a notice under our door saying it would not be done. The young man on the desk (Robert, I believe) dealt with our complaint the next day and was particularly helpful. However, given that we stayed 2 nights and did not receive one room clean during our stay, we feel this was poor service (particularly given the room rates we paid). We would think twice about staying in this hotel again, simply due to the poor service from most of the staff. Disappointing, considering our previous experience.

terrific views from every room

I've stayed here twice. The Novotel is located in a beautiful elevated position overlooking vineyards fields and trees, with undulating hills in the distance. I was happy to sit in my room for a while watching the rain showers and scudding clouds moving past the pretty landscape. The hotel features a golf course, day spa centre, conference facilities, outdoor pool etc. My room had kingsize bed and kitchenette. All good, except these days I would expect free WiFi in the room (not enough to download movies, but to check email and browse maps). I was offered 24 hours of Internet access for $26, so instead we took the iPad to the hotel foyer to arrange a free half hour.
