Expensive but very nice

Great location close to main street of shops and eateries and beach. Lovely units with excellent plunge pool but at this price I would expect daily servicing and it was not included. A once off luxury rather than a constant revisit!

Worth the splurge

Have just returned from 5 nights at Coconut Grove with my elderly mother and aunt. Was up at Port Douglas for a family wedding.Very easy access for both of them and the 3 bedroom terrace pool apartment worked a treat. Great area to have a family barbecue the day after the wedding. All encounters with staff were positive. It is expensive but it was money well spent.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

We found that the Woollies at Mossman was better for groceries than the Coles in Macrossan Street

Great for a romantic long weekend

If you don't need to be at an actual 'resort' but just want great accommodation in a good location this is an excellent choice. The apartment we stayed in was massive, with a phenomenal kitchen and eating area. The facilities in the apartment couldn't be faulted. Generally it was very clean, although I did pick up one wash cloth that had a fresh lipstick mark on it which was slightly concerning. Staff were exemplary. One suggestion - although plenty of pillows were supplied, a range of thicknesses would have been nice. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in your room with someone special, I'd thoroughly recommend Coconut Grove.

If you want to eat somewhere most upscale than the downtown restaurants, try Aqua at Pullmans Resort.

Luxurious Getaway

This hotel is superior in its presentation and cleanliness. Very modern and well appointed. Well equipped kitchen and barbecue on balcony. It is expensive and it would have been nice to have a gym but the overall experience is worthwhile. Could not get a better location ... right in Macrossan Street and a five minute walk to the beautiful Four Mile Beach. Would highly recommend.
