Noosa Heads hotels
Noosa offers the best of Australia, as this scenic area of the Sunshine Coast region of southeast Queensland features idyllic weather, amazing beaches, and a slew of chic restaurants. The town is located about 130 kilometres from Brisbane and many tourists make the trip to enjoy the white sand beaches that provide a mecca for lovers of surf and sun. The area was originally inhabited by Aboriginal tribes and then settled by English explorers in the 19th century. Now Noosa is a tourist resort known for its natural beauty and bevy of outdoor activities.
- Watch some of the best surfers in the world compete on monster waves at the Noosa Festival of Surfing on Noosa Heads Beach, one of the best surfing spots on the entire Sunshine Coast.
- Take a swim at one of the beaches, or just hike the trails while looking for unique Sunshine Coast flora and fauna at the city's national park, a sprawling conservation area known for its fishing, rock climbing, and clothing-optional beach.
- Catch a glimpse of the flying squirrels and pelicans the area is known for during a hike around Lake Weyba.
Most people who come to Noosa do so from Brisbane and there are a number of ways to get there using private car or public transportation. The town has a small airport for regional flights and has regular services to both Brisbane and Sydney. You can also get trains to Noosa from other Queensland towns and there are also many bus routes that connect the city to the rest of the Sunshine Coast. Those who want to take a scenic drive should hire a car and drive up the Sunshine Coast.
