Displaying a humid subtropical climate, Ipswich is a beautiful place to visit almost all year round. During the summer months of December through February, the temperatures are about 29°C, and in winter, June through August, the weather is quite pleasant with temperatures of 21°C. From November through March, rainfall is at its heaviest with 70-120 mm a month; precipitation for the year measures in at 877 mm.
Getting There & Around
Most visitors to this destination will fly into Brisbane and then take the rail into the city. Trains will come into the Ipswich Railway Station, where travellers can obtain buses to reach their accommodations. If not choosing to ride the rail, there are Airport Express buses that travel directly to the city also.
In and around the area, rental cars are the preferred method of transport, as well as walking and helicopter tours.
