business trip

Caught the train directly from the airport, this hotel is right across the street from the Central Train Station. Ideally located one block away from the main Brisbane Mall. A bit noisy at night, but that is to be expected when you are right in the action. Perfect hotel for business stay.

staff made up for maintenance issues

1st room had a aircon fan that was so loud it even drowned out the excessive street noise, and that combined with flicking bathroom light and power outage between 3 and 4pm just as we arrived was disappointing, but staff could not be more helpful and moved our room no fuss, great staff, great location, building needs some maintenance

Wekend in Brisbane

What I loved : room upgrade to a lovely roomy suite, the gracious old building itself, Central Station just over the road, excellent bar (with good wine) to sit in and read my book, the library, staff could not have been more helpful even when there was a muddle with our cars (my fault). Only two whinges: parking at $30 per night per car cost us $60 - happy to pay for parking but that was a bit much. The television does not have captioning for the hearing impaired as most tellies do these days. We didn't like to turn it up too loud for fear of disturbing others, but we couldn't really hear. We hope to be coming back next weekend! Lindy

Couples Weekend Away

Immaculate presentation and cleanliness. Needs modernizing, Lifts best we have stayed at, quick and noiseless. Easy walk to town and shopping. Train Station across the Rd, with a countdown clock in hotel for next Airport train departure time. Parking valet only and dear, obviously offsite parking. Easter time, Good Friday and Sunday all major shopping centers closed, as well as a lot of restaurants.

last minute look for accomadation

Great staff from duty managers, front reception, to household domestic staff preparing and cleaning rooms. Any requests made were efficiently met with minimal fuss. Just outstanding. We were upgraded to delux room. Only thing i had a little issue with was the extra bed on wheels please change mattress it was hard to sleep on. And the lounge chair needs to be replaced and reupholxtered. Otherwise closecto town for everything real bonus for shopping..
