Queen Street Mall hotels
Queen Street Mall
Queen Street Mall is located on the central street of Brisbane, Australia and is known for its diverse collection of shopping areas, restaurants and arcades. Queen Street was developed in the 19th century and quickly blossomed into a hub of activity after it became the first area of Brisbane to have public electricity. Five hundred metres long, the Queen Street Mall is a pedestrian shopping area that boasts more than 700 stores, making it the most popular attraction in Brisbane’s central business district. Queen Street Mall is the perfect place for an afternoon of shopping or just walking around.
- Shop at the ultra-modern Broadway on the Mall shopping plaza, one of Brisbane’s fashion meccas, where you will also find a large number of restaurants and a first class cinema.
- Knock down some pins at the bowling alley, work out in the gym or just do some shopping at Wintergarden, a three level plaza in the Queen Street Mall.
- Enjoy shopping in more than 200 stores in Brisbane’s largest shopping centre, The Myer Centre, a sprawling complex that features a restored Victorian façade.
Queen Street Mall is the hub of Brisbane’s central business district and can be reached in a number of ways. There are several bus routes that leave from the main Brisbane bus station and pass by or along Queen Street. One of the most unique ways to get to Queen Street is by using the CityCats, high-speed catamarans that go up and down the Brisbane River, often stopping at docks very close to the Queen Street Mall. Brisbane boasts more than 500 kilometres of bicycle paths that make it easy to get around the city by bicycle.
