Poor presentation and cleanliness. Views excellent

Very disappointed with presentation. Personal items from previous occupant (medication, food) left behind and not removed by cleaner. Furniture old and damaged. Curtains only 50% fixed to rails. Shortfall in cutlery items. Views and location Good

Our Whitsunday Holiday

The Terraces are ideally located though like nearly all Airlie accommodation it is located on a steep hill. The location gives fantastic views over the Marina and out towards the islands. Each unit at the Terraces is individually owned so standards can vary. Our accommodation was good value for the price paid.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Accommodation at Airlie is mostly on steep hills. A taxi ride to your accommodation is only $5 and the drivers do this all the time.

Perfect Location

Rooms are very clean and spacious with generous balconies. The views are just amazing. Great value for money. A little upgrade of the facility and furnishings would be a nice touch. The bathtub was clean but with lots of ugly stains/cracks. It feels like nothing hasn't been done since the 90's. Great place for families with kids. Close to all amenities in town, including a fabulous Woolies and walk distance to all restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

Sushi Train with freshly made sushi/sashimi and the most hospitable host/owner possible. Try the tuna deluxe roll...a must! Capers is also a good choice for dinner. Modern Australian Menu, very friendly service.

Fantastic Views

These units are older but provide good accommodation with million dollar views. Comfortable and clean and within walking distance of all Airlie Beach restaurants, pubs, buses, ferries and lagoon. We have stayed here on three occasions and would return.

Large balcony overlooking the sea

Check in and check out were quick and simple and I was pleased to have a room where I could park undercover immediately outside the door. The rooms do require a refurb but this is reflected in the very competitive room rate. A supermarket and bottle shop are very close by with several eateries and the lovely Airlie beach Lagoon. My main criteria was to have a largish room with balcony/ocean view and basic amenities close to or in town. Whitsunday Terraces fitted the bill exactly. Staff were very helpful in booking suitable day trips for us. We had a room in Florin Terraces, the furthest up the hill which is a bit of a trek after a good meal and a few drinks in town but easily doable with a couple of rest stops. I,d definitely recommend to family & friends due to location, balcony/ oceanview and overall value for money.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Airlie Beach Lagoon and Abell Point Marina are each a short or mid size walk away. Lots of lovely places to stop for a meal or drink along the way.

Newly renovated 1br apartment - excellent value!

Stayed 2 nights in 1br apartment for $95 per night.. Newly renovated and nice and clean. Excellent balcony views to Whitsundays. Excellent price. Very steep hill to walk up from shops but this gives the view. Very tight on-site parking so we parked in street. Excellent value for money. We ate twice at Salt restaurant. 1st time excellent 2nd time fish dry. Previous reviews of this place said it was grotty- but has had makeover and balcony alone worth the price.

We ate at Salt restaurant. Excellent first time but 2nd time fish was dry. Very good value. Service is by backpackers who have no concept of how to serve meals or wine but that is normal in Airlie.

Budget accommodation but great location

Location was very good. Walking distance to everywhere in town. We had a few issues with room cleanliness, bugs, a smoke detector that chirruped and a dripping shower. Definitely budget but comfy for what was needed. Lovely view and well equipped basic room.
