The geographic heart of the NSW Central Coast has water pumping through its veins. From Terrigal Lagoon to the expanse of the Tasman Sea, the city wants to get you wet. Fishing, surfing, swimming, boating and diving are just some of the ways the ocean will embrace you at Terrigal.
When you’re done playing in the sea, the large, beautiful pine trees lining the beach will welcome you back to shore. And thanks to its growing reputation as a foodie hub, you won’t go hungry in Terrigal – even if you didn’t catch any fish! Enjoy the views from Onda Restaurant as you feel a million miles away from the city, while knowing in the back of your mind that you’re actually less than a 100km north of Sydney… amazing!

WHEN TO GO
- Terrigal, like the majority of the Central Coast region, has a humid subtropical climate.
- Summers are hot and humid, while winters tend to be cold and wet.
- While it rains on and off throughout the year, the wettest time is generally autumn.
- Sydney’s rail network extends up to the Central Coast, making trains one of the best ways to move around if you don’t have a car.
- For a cheaper option, jump on one of the buses, which run up and down the coast.
- Alternatively, grab a taxi as needed.
