Oceanworld, a massive indoor marine aquarium, is a popular tourist destination in the city of Sydney. Tourists who come to this sea life attraction get a chance to explore many varieties of ocean animals, including small creatures like seahorses and large species such as sharks. The aquarium serves as both an attraction for tourists and a wildlife preservation agency, working to increase breeding of endangered marine animals in the local area. Along with its exhibits, Oceanworld also features plenty of other activities for guests such as shark diving, guided tours, and live animal performances.
- Tour "Underwater Sydney," an indoor exhibit at the aquarium that showcases local marine life, including seahorses, sea urchins, and hermit crabs.
- Visit the "Penguin Cove" exhibit at Oceanworld to get a look at Little Penguins from Sydney and the surrounding area, one of the breeding environments for this endangered species.
- Brave the depths in Shark Dive Extreme at Oceanworld, where you can don scuba gear and swim safely with real Grey Nurse Sharks, stingrays, and turtles.
Travellers who are flying into Sydney will likely arrive at Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport. Since the airport is only six kilometres outside of the city centre, getting from the terminal to the downtown section is quite simple for tourists. Taxis, buses, shuttles, and suburban trains are all available to transport guests to the city from the airport. To reach Oceanworld, tourists can take the ferry to Manly Wharf or they can catch one of the local city buses to Manly. Those who drive themselves to Oceanworld can take advantage of parking garages near the attraction.
