Great location to visit hunter valley garden

Room was comfortable and cosy, as expected from a chain like this. The 10minutes walk to hunter valley garden is a great plus for those with young children, especially if you will like to take in the fresh and cooling air. One setback is that only one restaurant is available for dinner, and we are forced to take either a minimum of 2 course dinner.

It's linked to the hunter valley garden. Make sure the kids are brought to the storybook section in the gardens

Optimal location!

Great location and the bathrooms looked fairly up to date. The room itself is a little dated, but goes with the overall decor of the hotel. As is it a motel, there were some bugs in the room, but they provide you with bug spray. The location is great, close to the food hall/complex with Tempus Two wines and just down the road from Peppers Guest House and next to Hunter Valley Gardens. Convenient and nice area. Child friendly even though we didn't travel with children but breakfast was quite expensive. More in the $30 mark than the $20 range.

Great overnight stay

Comfortable stay in a very pleasant room. Only problem experienced was the room telephone wasn't working which made contacting reception, etc., difficult. This was reported on departure. Everything else was lovely including the sumptuous restaurant buffet breakfast.

Not as good as I expected

The room was large enough and has the basics of a hotel. Only offer English breakfast tea and very limited coffee available. The bathroom is a good size with average lighting and very dark when in the shower and could have been cleaned better as there was hair residue from previous occupant on shower floor.

Right in the heart of the Hunter

Great location and wonderful environment next to the gardens. Only comment would be that the restaurant is a bit old school......quite formal and not relaxing.

Wines, vines and walks

This is a very walkable location in the Hunter Valley close to wineries, shops, restaurants and the impressive Hunter Valley Gardens. The resort itself is very scenic and well appointed:the resort facilities are great.

Business trip

Checked in after recepionist got off her mobile. Room key did not work so get another one. Open the door to find someone asleep in the room! It was explained to me that it was probably one of the staff having a sleep between shifts. Hmmmm not good. Got upgraded to a better room. If that was an upgrade I am glad I didn't get my originally booked room. NEVER AGAIN
