Five Must-See Attractions in Los Angeles

The city of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas are veritable wonderlands for vacationers, tourists, pop culture fanatics, beach lovers and virtually anybody else. From the iconic, larger-than-life Hollywood sign to the resplendent beaches along the Pacific coast, L.A. is a tourist’s dream come true. The only trouble with visiting this fabulously famous city is choosing which attractions to visit. If you need help narrowing down the list, refer to the following selection of five must-see attractions in Los Angeles for inspiration.

Disneyland – No list of the top attractions in L.A. would be complete without mentioning the most popular and beloved place of all: Disneyland.

Along with its counterpart in Florida – Disney World – this theme park has thrilled and enchanted visitors for several decades now. Along with nearby Universal Studios, it is one of the best ways to have fun – and even a few thrills – when visiting this part of California. Venice Beach – If you’re in the mood for something a little different when in Los Angeles, hightail it over to the Venice Beach boardwalk. By strolling for a minute or two along this famous pathway, you’re bound to run across some really memorable sights.

From bodybuilders strutting their stuff to rollerbladers who weave gracefully between the throngs of people who regularly pack this popular spot, there’s never a dull moment here. The boardwalk’s funky vibe is further enhanced by street performers, making it a must-see attraction. [Images by denise cross, jondoeforty1]

Grauman’s Chinese Theater – Have you ever wondered how your own hands compare to those of popular celebrities – or have you ever dreamed about touching the very same spot where several iconic luminaries have laid their hands? If so, a visit to Grauman’s Chinese Theater is definitely in order.

Through the years, more than 200 celebrities – and even a horse! – have had their prints immortalized in cement here. From Tom Hanks to Frank Sinatra, a huge array of thrilling hand, foot and hoof prints are on display. [Images by chiarezza.dolce, schmich]

Rodeo Drive – Fans of the popular film Pretty Woman will easily recall the famous scene where Julia Roberts walks into a posh Rodeo Drive shop, only to be snubbed by the snooty staff there.

If you’d like to check out the well-heeled boutiques and other shops along this world-famous street, make it a point to include Rodeo Drive on your tour of Los Angeles – you will not be disappointed! [Images by timwilson, johnbeagle]

The Santa Monica Pier – There are few better or more enjoyable ways to enjoy a pleasant afternoon or evening in the Los Angeles area than a visit to the Santa Monica Pier.

A rollercoaster, Ferris wheel, carousel and other rides give the place a carnival-like atmosphere, and dozens upon dozens of dining options make it a convenient place to explore. Street performers add to the fun-filled ambiance here, and you’ll never want to leave! [Images by markus941, grut]

Disneyland is certainly one of the best attractions out there in California! I had so much fun going there when I was about 10 years old! and now I am 19 years old and I would love to go back there again now, because It has great rides and its a place for the whole family!
