Best Night Clubs to Visit to Find Hollywood Stars
It’s quite easy to find the spots where the Hollywood stars like to visit. Often times their visits populate the headlines of the paparazzi rags on the day after a particularly fun filled evening. Hollywood is not a huge area encompassed entirely by the city of Los Angeles and can be loosely defined as the area between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood on the west, the Golden State Freeway and Hyperion Avenue on the east, Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon to the north and Melrose Avenue to the south. Drive around the area and look for the lined-up paparazzi and the Hollywood stars are sure to be there. But, there are several Hollywood clubs that are regularly attended by the Hollywood famous. Perhaps you can get to one of these clubs early and stake your claim at a table.
Chateau Marmont Lounge
The Chateau Marmont Lounge has been a hangout to the stars ever since Columbia Pictures founder Harry Cohn said “if you must get in trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont†to William Holden and Glenn Ford in 1939. Hollywood stars have been getting into trouble there ever since. Over the years, Jean Harlow and Clark Gable had a tryst (the Marmont is also a luxury hotel), Jim Morrison leapt from a balcony one carousing evening, Led Zeppelin members rode their motorcycles through the lobby, and John Belushi had a fatal overdose in one of the bungalows. In more recent times, the Lounge bungalows have served as home base to Lindsay Lohan and Adam Levine (Maroon 5). Other regular attendees at the Chateau Marmont are Britney Spears, Victoria Beckham, the Olsen Twins and Justin Timberlake.
Les Deux Café
Les Deux Café is another Hollywood hotspot, especially since the reopening after having been closed for three years starting in 2004. Regular attendees since the recent reopening have been Leonardo DiCaprio, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Hillary Duff, and Mary-Kate Olsen. There’s a small dance floor in the café and that seems to be the focus of the club. Expect long lines when trying to get in. Tuesdays and Saturdays are the hot nights when the stars will definitely be out. Recent scandals have included one of Paris Hilton’s cohorts backing into a BMW in the parking lot and Paris leaving that night covered in a table cloth because she was too drunk.
Next on the list is Teddy’s Nightclub. The regulars here are (as usual) Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, etc…sound familiar? A recent scandal involves a tiff between Miss Spears and club promoter Josh Richman who had refused her a table in the VIP area. Miss Lohan went partying here the next night after her arrest on 5/26/2007 when she crashed her car and cocaine was found. Located in the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, the club is very tough to get into unless you know somebody. The focus in the club is not on the dance floor but seems to be socializing.
The focus here is definitely dancing and the aforementioned Hollywood party squad frequent here also. Justin Timberlake is another regular attendee who has been known to organize the crowd into an impromptu drum circle. Ashley Simpson is another regular here. Entry is also tough here, unless you know somebody you’ll be doomed to stand in line – maybe you’ll get in, maybe you won’t. The place is absolutely packed on the inside and there’s no telling who you might be sweating next to once you get in.
The common theme among these clubs is the central list of Hollywood partygoers who regularly attend, but also the difficulty in getting in. Here’s some simple advice to help your admission chances:
• Know somebody on the “inside†– very tough for “outsidersâ€.
• Be attractive and female.
• If not attractive or female then go to the club with a group that is and make sure they outnumber you.
• Pay attention to the dress style at the club. If you are in an attractive, heavily female-populated group, and are dressed sharp and trendy your chances are much better that the velvet ropes will be moved aside for you and you’ll be let right in.
