I had stayed at this location before and at the time was pleased with the facilities. However, over the past few years the falilities have deteriorated. They now charge extra for off-street parking and the tv needs replacing - I couldn't get all the free-to-air channels and the screen flickered on some of the channels. The 'fridge doesn't have an ice tray so I had to buy some ice from the nearest petrol station.

This is an inexpensive but dated motel which, according to my cabbie, has been renamed several times. Its present incarnation is as a 'loosely branded' motel for business travellers but it is basically a bottom end place for anyone - there are no special busines features other than a meeting room. The fittings and carpets are 80s. But .. they do advertise and price realistically, and the location is good - for trams and the Clarendon Street shops, bars etc. Also the wireless internet is free, and it works. They charge $8 to use the car park, which I think is unnecessary. If you just want a bed and a centralish location then this will work for you.
