Surrounded by acres of garden, this country house hotel is situated in the heart of Connemara, overlooking the Cashel Bay. Local attractions include the Aran Islands, Inish Bofin Island, Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone's sandy beaches and the Connemara National Park.

A weekend in February. Welcoming, quiet, relaxing. Open fires and comfy chairs in common areas. Very good food. Spacious room with lovely view over garden to the sea. Made to feel 'at home' by unfalteringly friendly and helpful staff. Hope to return some day.
