We went on a weekend vacation and this is not to bad of a place to stay. It is not the closes hotel to down town but still close enough to walk. The room was small but very clean and nice looking. The workers there are very polite and helpful. The whole hotel is amazing looking if you like the old time look. The only real problem was the trains that go right by the hotel. So if you are planning to spend a lot of time in the room it may start to bug you.

I do not travel to stay in a hotel -- it's for showering and sleeping only. But when location and price are right, I'll always pick an historic site. Walking into the Union Station is like walking in to the Atlanta Hyatt when it was a novelty in the 60's -- Awesome! Nothing is built like this any longer. The staff is attentive. The restaurant was great. In easy walking distance of Nashville features. Don't sit in your room; do sit in the lobby. Or visit the Frist Center for the Visual Arts next door.

Beautiful old hotel with modern ammenities. It used to be a train station. However, the trains are still there and you can definitely hear them.
