Location
Located 2 kilometres from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, the Wyndham Garden Clearwater Beach Hotel is near Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa Bay. The Cypress Gardens Adventure Park, Walt Disney World attractions and Universal Studios are placed with easy reach from the resort.

Note: The facility is now the Best Western Sea Wake Resort (no longer the Wyndham Garden). Location excellent for visiting the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Crabby Bill's Restaurant, and other highlights of the Clearwater Beach area. Room very clean, modern, and attractive; beds and pillows especially comfortable. Staff particularly pleasant and helpful. On-site restaurant a bit slow for breakfast, but certainly serviceable and with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. A good experience — we would happily return.

We spent one night at the Best Western and we had a great time. The hotel rooms need to be updated- doors, windows, bathroom appliances, etc. They recently updated their bar and restaurant. You have to check out their tiki bar! We didn't eat at their restaurant. Check out Sheppards outdoor bar. Really cool! Once we paid a 10$ we were able to also go to Wave Club. Worth the 160$ fee plus an additional resort fee for the location. At the end of Clearwater beach. We were there on a Saturday in October 2011.

Very pleasant experience. Excellant staff and accomdations were clean and comfortable. Very nice beach and pool area. If we return to this area we would definitely stay here again. I would recommend the BestWestern for couples or families with children.

I reserved a harbor view room when I was given the key and told where the room was I asked how can I see the harbor? The lady told me well you have to look over and around the buildings to see it. Then she said that's how they get you. Next I had to pay the fee for parking. I knew about the fee from other reviews but instead of the 13 a day total they hold 25 a day. The beach is just awful. Unless you like looking at a bridge or across at a park. Sunsets over the gulf? Nope. I stayed here 3 nights and the power went off twice. They had parking lot maintenance and had more than half the lot blocked off. They started working on the lot at 7am the final day I was there. I was on the 5th floor and it sounded like they where in my hall. Not one time was my room cleaned though everyday I had put the sign out requesting that it be cleaned. On my final night my room key did not work. I had to go back and fourth from my room to the front desk 4 times till the guy decided to bring the master key to let me in. If you like to make yourself miserable stay here.

The room needed cleaning attention and the manager got right to work correcting the problems, and thru in a free dinner voucher. The location is great with it private beach. Everything was good but will not stay here again.
