it's very convenient to go shopping. Macy's is about 5 minutes walk.

Great place to stay very clean and modern. Staff was excellent. Wished for an amenty like steam room or hot tub but in downtown Chicago I understand why they don't have these amenities. Location is very central for most things!!

First off, I want to say that I only stay at 4 or 5 star hotels (where available). I travel about 6 times per year, business & pleasure, where I stay in a hotel. I typically choose whatever is cheapest within that star rating, however, for my future trips to Chicago, I will seriously consider booking at the Wyndham Blake every time. I loved many things about this hotel but the best was it's cleanliness and at-home feel. The decor was updated, yet not pretentious and the staff was examplary. Upon our arrival, there was complimentary bottled water waiting for us in our room. Seriously! COMPLIMENTARY!!! That got me at hello. Oh, and did I mention free wi-fi? I had forgotten my toothpaste and upon leaving one day, I asked if they had any. They didn't have it at the front desk, but said that it would be waiting in my room upon my return back - AND IT WAS!! I have hardly ever had hotels remember this sort of stuff, so I was skeptical. However, they pleasantly surprised me. I have already started looking at other dates when I might return. It's nice to know that there is a place as comfortable and nice as this!
