Location is perfect, staff is great, and the room was nice...especially the view. The only reason I didn't give this hotel a full 5 stars is because they gave us the wrong room the first time around. We were supposed to get a One Bedroom Suite w/Kitchenette (non-smoking)...instead we got a standard king (smoking). Also, there were no bottles to fill up at the free water station on our floor. There's a little noise during the day b/c of construction...but who stays inside in NYC???

The service staff were excellent, helpful and friendly and the hotel does a good job of 'hiding' the construction going on nearby. It's a great location with good facilities, like free wifi and their resttaurant on the 20th floor. We had a personal issue and the service staff immediately responded, offering the use of their phone and computers. It's a short walk to Wall St, numerous subway stations and plenty of reasonable eateries nearby too. If you want to catch a show you may want a hotel closer to 50th St, though the Subway's easy to use. Our previous stay was on 50th and this hotel was a far better experience!

Very very nice Hotel in lower Manhattan. We had a nice room with balcony with view directly to WTC memorial and the building of the new tower. Quiet in the evenings and close to metro lines, so you can easy get around. Will definitely stay there again when we visit NY.

I will start off mentioning the good things. The hotel is in close proximity to a few train stations, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Now on to the bad, every morning at around 7AM, sometimes earlier, you would hear ALL of the construction noise from ground zero as the hotel is right across the street from it. Jack hammering so early in the morning, and yes, even on a Saturday. We called the front desk to ask if they offered ear plugs and surprisingly they did. Why weren't we offered these from the beginning? The noise was so bad even with the ear plugs and a pillow over your head you can hear the noise. It's as if your bed is in the middle of the construction site and they're working around you. I'm not easily disturbed by noise either, I grew up in NYC and I'm used to sirens, cars honking, and people yelling, and have no problem sleeping through that. My boyfriend joked that all we needed were hard hats. Do not stay here until ground zero is completed unless you want to wake up with a headache everyday.

My family and I booked two rooms at the World Center Hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the set up. We opened one door and it led to two distinct doors, each for a room. This was wonderful since traveling with teenagers can be difficult! Our room had a well supplied kitchenette and a queen bed. The other room had two twins. This worked out perfect for us. The staff was helpful and the rooms were impeccably clean. My only problem with this hotel is the location. Construction on the surrounding area starts at 6 am and if you are lucky ends around 10pm. We asked for different rooms but they were booked, plus we loved the set up we had.. When we returned from a day on the city, two $40 coupons for the restaurant on the 20th floor were in our rooms. This was very gracious of them and we just put our i phone in the clock radio and downloaded a white noise ap. This worked great. The restaurant on the 20th floor was fantastic. We ordered room service and ate up there as well. The food was fresh and tasty and for New York , a good deal. The view at night (and day) from the restaurant was amazing. Since we went during one of the busiest times of the year we were very glad not to stay in mid-town. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for a family traveling with children!

Pleasantly surprised given the Ground Zero location of the hotel and the 24-hour construction schedule. We were a little worried about the noise level, but it really was not too bad. We had a 10th floor room with a balconey that overlooked the construction site and we totally enjoyed our experience at this hotel and would stay there again. This area will always be hallowed ground, so it was also an emotional experience to stay there. The private 20th floor restaurant and its view of the Memorial was definitely a plus.

Building & Rooms clean and a bit small.Kinda hard to find at dead end of Washington St. Very noisy from construction at memorial - machine and equipment running all nite long made hard to sleep even with earplugs.

fabulous location overlooking the WTC, but a bit tricky getting to because of construction traffic patterns. The restaurant view is fantastic, the food good and reasonably priced - probably the best kept secret in Manhattan. Staff is friendly and helpful - would definitely stay there again.

Went to New York to do the sight seeing thing with the family... glad we stayed at The World Center Hotel... we had a view of the 911 Memorial and even with the construction it was a awesome sight to see! To remember and appreciate what we have! The room was beautiful and clean! Best hotel we stayed in all week long! Walking distance to Statue of Liberty and the subway took us to Times Square in 10-15 minutes! Fruit vendors on the corner and a market around the street! The roof top restaurant was beautiful.... a little expensive for a few drinks but a must see! Would stay again!!

Stayed at World Center while attending a conference in Jersey City. All work, no play. Pros: Easy access to the PATH train, clean room, *cookies in the lobby*, free computer access, small but adequate fitness center, menus for several close restaurants (BBQ to Indian food) with zippy fast delivery to the hotel AND can charge meal to your room. Cons: Room service tray from 1st night was still outside my door when I checked out (ew), no bottles at water station (great idea though if the bottles are stocked!), drunks yelling in the hallway around 2 a.m. both nights (a Sunday and Monday), couldn't access restaurant on 20th floor as advertised. Hotel's fine, would stay there again, but wouldn't pay full price.

Room size for Manhattan hotel rooms was large. Everything was clean. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating even though upon checking in I was a less than pleasant person. Check out moved quickly regardless of the fact that there were over 10 rooms checking out. We were able to leave our bags after checking out while we left the hotel and had breakfast. Staff asked that we allow at least 10 minutes for bags to be retrieved upon returning, took less than 5 minutes. World Trade Center construction is going on and will be for several years. Construction happens on weekends as well as weekdays. We had a 6th floor room on the side of construction, it was not disturbing to us.

The hotel is situated close to the city and near a subway station. Facilities are good particularly free wifi, chilled water and coffee. The easy checkout computerised system and printing facilities are a bonus. However we arrived late at night to a foreign city for a first time visit and did not find the person on reception particularly welcoming or pleasant. We later discovered they had a typical New York attitude so don't hold that against them. The view from terrace is impressive although you need to be aware that $16 for a buffet breakfast translates into $20 when taxes and gratuity are added.overall, good location, good facilities and convenient. Historically situated near world trade centre so of interest too but don't expect a warm welcome or very helpful service. It is New York after all!

Right next to world centre reconstruction site but there is absolutely no need to shy away - there is definitely not much noise, we slept very well. It is close to subway, hop on hop off bus services and free ferry that gives a good view of liberty statue. Staff are very helpful, although their free breakfast option was not valid for us, they still gave us free breakfast option. Would definitely stay here again.
