If you are looking for glamorous, this isn't the hotel for you. If you are looking for a hotel that is charming, a tad bit shabby but extremely clean, well staffed, and very comfortable, then you will love the Winterhaven. The beach is literally right across the street. It is a block off Collins Ave, so it is very close to all the great restaurants and night life without being in the middle of the zoo. The bathroom was small but extremely clean. The bed was comfy, the room was immaculate, and the staff were always willing and able to help. I had a blast.

Nice hotel but refurbishment works going on all day at the moment and it is so noisy you can't hear the tv in your room - need to stay out of the room all day. Rooms are basic but good - one small thing we noticed is that there is a shortage of powerpoints. TV has free to air channels but not Pay TV. Hotel is located across from the beach so good location. BReakfast quite good. Staff very polite.

Winter Haven is ok for one that is not picky. my overall stay was good. check in and out was easy. the distance to all the area shopping and beaches was great, but there are a few pitfalls. Rooms are not as clean as they should be and also in need of new carpets. i would get disgusted just looking at them. besides these two glaring problems we enjoyed our stay. they offer waffles cereal for breakfast, and oatmeal and fruit for snacks during the midday hours. they offer robes beach towels, beach chairs and access to their pool at blue moon hotel. in closing good for a night or two but i dont think i will stay there again.

Considering the amenities such as free breakfast and afternoon snack, and $5 off each night at the bar, clean and surprisingly modern bathroom and bedroom, great services at the front desk and from the cleaning lady, closeness to the beach, free Wi-Fi, at a more economic rate than other hotels, I would recommend this hotel.
