no air conditioning. it is hardd to understand how a four star hotel could do without it!

This hotel has a good central location in down town Funchal, but the rooms we stayed in were rather dated with an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is listed as 4 star and priced accordingly. In our opinion it is poor value for money and we would not stay there again and would not recommend it to our friends either.
