Location
White Sands Hotel is centrally located in Honolulu, a short walk to the white sands of Waikiki Beach. While on holiday, tourists should not miss a stop at Diamond Head Crater Park and hike the Diamond Head Trail.

Comfortable beds, convenient kitchenette (a lot better equipped than others I have seen with a full sized fridge and oven). A nice pool and hot tub in a garden courtyard - unfortunately the hot tub is about to be closed because it can't be adapted to meet disability standards. The pool is an appropriate size for the small complex and is also open later than other hotels (until 10pm# Staff were friendly and being able to use the communal bbq was great too. There is no restaurant or bar but there are plenty of these in the surrounding streets, and a small #not cheap) supermarket a few blocks away. Bathroom is small and the vanity cabinet in ours was showing some signs of wear but otherwise great. There are no lifts so if you are on the 2nd or 3rd floor expect to climb stairs. In room internet is available with a modem, wi-fi is only in communal areas and there are various costs so not so convenient for tablet only travellers unless you BYO Wi-Fi hotspot or router.

We family is first time been honolulu so had a great trip there! this hotel is golden location and close to everything.nice servive but really need upgrade for better service ! no in room phone & internet service no lift so very hard to move something to 3th floor...

At first, we were given a room with two beds which was shabby and with "odd" design (e.g. closet inside the bathroom). Next day we asked for a one-bed room and were switched to another building same morning. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The new room turned out to be very comfortable, with relatively new kitchenette (dishes, cooking pots, skillet were there so we could have breakfast in and save money). Each room has balcony so we used to sit there sipping wine and talking. Wonderful! The Waikiki beach is 12 min walk but a very pleasant walk along cute shops. The bus stop is 5 min walk. The facility has own laundry so don't have to bring a lot of cloth. We didn't use the pool preferring the ocean swimming but many people enjoyed the pool. Overall, we would stay again at the White Sands next Hawaii vacation.
