Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa Orlando Guest Reviews
The room was great, however the customer service in that resort was TERRIBLE! No one answered the phones when you would call to the front desk, i was lied to by several members of the staff, I slipped and fell down a flight of stairs and not only did they ignore me for 25mins, they sent me a security guard with a first aid kit to see if I needed help. I will NEVER stay at this hotel EVER AGAIN!

A resort fee that had to be paid. On top of that a deposit of $50 in case of incidentals was charged. The toilet over flowed. By the time maintenance came the carpet was half soaked. We requested to be moved to another room (the hotel didn’t offer), we were moved. After shopping & returning to that room, all keys didn’t work. We were locked out for 20 minutes after calling before someone arrived. This room had no Jacuzzi. We were moved a 3rd time to a room. To use the computer they charge 20 cents per minute..CRAZY!!! Next time we will stick to a hotel vs. a resort!!!

My husband and I did not realize we were coming to a resort where you had to listen to a presentation aboutbuying a timeshare when I booked our reservations. On top of that we had to pay an additional 38 dollars for who knows what. I think Cheap Tickets needs to put a warning or something on the site when booking resort stays. Our room was not that great compared to the rooms we were showed during the presentation and we felt like we were being pressured into buying a timeshare which I did not appreciate and needless to say we did not purchase one because that is not what we came on vacation for. I would not recommend or stay at this resort ever again. The food at the Smokehouse Grill on the resort was not up to par either. They called mac and cheese baked and it tasted worse than kraft out of the box with cheese sauce. How do you mess up chicken wings...... Not recommended.

To begin with, when we arrived to the hotel, it took us about 25 minutes to finally talk to someone in order to check-in, even though there was no line at the front desk. There were several employees (at least six people wearing their uniform) standing behind the counter, but apparently only one person was working at the time and she was busy with a customer. When we arrived to the room, we were surprised how dirty it was. The bedspread was dirty and stained, the floor was dirty as well, and the shower had "short hairs" in more than one place on the floor and the glass door for the shower. Overall, the facilities are nice, but the hotel should pay more attention to the cleanliness of its rooms because they do not match those of a “3.5-star” rating.

This was one of the best vacation resorts that we have been at. The resort was very very nice. The rooms are very clan and comfortable, the pools are amazing everything you need is there or only a few minutes form the resort and its very centraly located. We would recomend this to our friend and family and we are making plans to return there very soon.
