This place pulled a classic "bait and switch" scam on us. We intended to stay there for our last night in the UK and booked five days in advance. When we arrived we were informed that our room had suffered "water damage" and that it was OK since they had made arrangements with a sister hotel "not far away" but we would need to pay at the Westbury before heading over there in a complimentary taxi. Well, the place turned out to be a complete dive in Bayswater which was the equivalent of a youth hostel. Also turned out that the standard rate of the "sister hotel" was much lower than what the Westbury had charged us. Falling prey to this sort of scam is not the end of the world but certainly tarnished an otherwise enjoyable holiday. Screw you, Westbury, you thieving scammers!!

I believed in the"card issuer" website and their hotel advisory or recommendations but with this experience, it will be difficult to rely on them. It was an awful one week in a pocky room and HOT stay. Never imagined the need to travel with a fan!!! Had to carry our suitcases all by myself to our floor and breakfast was.... Definitely a place for people who have business in the neighborhood and would come back late; too exhausted to care for anything bit sleep. Would I recommend this...it would be unfair!

There is no problem in various points.This hotel is very convenient as it is close to Earls court tube station.

Apart from the fact that we stayed in the basement(!) everything was ok/good for the price (Breakfast, cleanliness). The staff was really helpful for everything. Location is really good. Totally recommend it for budget travelers.
