Location
Resort Weekender is on the southern tip of Koh Island, nine kilometres from Lanna Samui. A Koh Samui, Thailand trip is not complete without taking pictures of cultural gems like Wat Khunaram and Wat Ratchathammaram.

The website is misleading, it shows an old fashion room which makes you think it's the Standard Room, I presumed the Thai House is the stylish room. When we arrived, we were shown a dark room behind the lobby unit. Thai House is an old room with tiled floor. We complained but nothing to do. Not friendly manager. We payed to upgrade for Superior Room which was actually very nice. We had to pay upfront and couldn't even get a deal for 5 nights. I repeat, very unpleasant manager. You could see in the eyes of the staff that the work environment is very heavy. Beautiful swimming pool right in front of the sea. Good Buffet breakfast. Strange thing by the pool, there is a big board that reminds you the rules and hotel regulations you must follow. We stayed one night and happy to leave.

Overall a nice place to stay even if a bit overpriced. The real letdown was the breakfast, the choices very limited but coffee was good. It is a good central location to main street and the beach at its doorstep.

I knew at time of booking that there was consturction work going on.Rather noisy around the pool area. The beach is through the hotel grounds, yet there was no real path created past the buidling works - access ducking under a pole and sqeezing through bushes!! Rather disappointed that Weekender only provided (not many!!)Deckchairs for guests on the beach (other hotels had beds with mattresses!!!) especially as it was often too noisy round the pool. Sunbeds really are a must!!! Stayed in Thai house - huge with 2 king sized beds. Cleaned and given fresh pool towels daily. Breakfast good. Excellent location. Would love to return when building wk finished. Excellent value for money. V small safety deposit boxes tho! Drinking water provided daily. Had a great holiday.

Weekender has multiple pricing levels with the cheapest rooms (which we had booked) farthest away, near the street. However, the noise was not a problem and the rooms although basic were very clean. property is right on the beach which is an advantage and had good big breakfast buffet.
