Wave Hotel is less than 10 minutes from LAX and within a half hour drive to downtown Los Angeles. A few blocks from the hotel is The Strand, a beachside bike path with beautiful views of the Pacific. Pick up some fresh fruit at the local Farmer's Market in downtown Manhattan Beach.

This hotel certainly deserves another star added to their 3. The owner works this hotel and he is super nice, and his staff is very friendly and informative about the area. It was our first time to visit California and I am certainly glad that we choose this hotel to stay. It will be my first choice should we ever return.

We got in last Thankgiving eve and were starving,nothing open in the area.The man at the desk offered is own car to us to see if we could find some place open.This was a wonderful jesture but couldnt take him up on his offer.He desided to open the breakfast area to us to tide us over till morning.What a great guy!!!The whole staff met all our needs and then some.

Overall it was a pleasant, enjoyable and cost effective experience. The hotel is old but acceptably refurbished. The room was comfortable, neat and clean, but it did have a few small black ants. I will stay here again.

Coming from East Coast for long Weekend for son's Bday. Good value close to beach. Clean and suited our purpose.

The location was okay for our stay, close to the beach. The room was not very clean at all and not very up to date. The pool was supposed to be heated but it was ice cold. They advertised on the website free shuttle to and from the airport. Upon arriving, the shuttle wasn't running so we had to take a cab but we were reimbursed for it. We had to leave to get to the airport at 5:30 a.m. The hotel staff stated it was too early for the shuttle and I had to pay for the cab fare myself , which cost $20.00. A little disappointing. Would not stay at this hotel again.
