Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny!! There was a damp smell throughout the hotel (more so on our level than the lobby). The air conditioner was really cold no matter what setting we changed it too and it blew really cold air directly onto the bed! Also the pillows were awful...really really soft so your head sunk down to the mattress!!

The Waldorf is a lovely old hotel, very genteel, very comfortable bed. Bathroom old fashioned and tight. No tea/coffee in the room but an experience to say 'I've been there'. Staff excellent, very pleasant check in process. Glad we did it. Close to subway, walking around the area very easy, close to Grand Central Station...about 4 blocks away.

We wanted to stay in Manhattan. Not knowing much about NYC (as this was our first visit), we searched this website and read the reviews. This helped us A LOT!!. The Hotel was EVERYTHING we expected and more. Nice standard size room (not massive, but enough), excellent service & staff, amazing atmosphere, brilliant foyer, wonderful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and it DEFINITELY made our FIRST NYC visit SO MUCH BETTER!!

It definitely lived up to its reputation...food and wine as good as you'll find anywhere in NYC...and a lovely room. The reason we stayed there was the very low nonrefundable rate probably due to the Park Ave facade being renovated....causing absolutely no inconvenience to us...and less than lower quality hotels at the time.

The staff and service live up to the reputation the Waldorf Astoria has always had. Public areas were well appointed. Nice location. The room was average at best. Chipped paint, very poor heating/AC conditions, view of the roof just soured my impression.

The Waldorf was perfect for our weekend trip. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The rooms are typical NYC- on the smaller side- but well done. We didn't mind the size as we don't come to NYC to stay in the room anyway. Blocks away from central park, broadway and shopping- but away from the crowds. Perfect location.

We had a great time in the suite in the Waldorf Towers. The room was humongous and the staff was really courteous. It felt like the lap of luxury!

Room was good for the money in NYC. Hotel is nice. $17 for a mini bar bottle was a little excessive !

The location was the best, we walked to Time Square,Central Park and to the Empire State Building. We had daily maid service, something we didn't expect, but greatly apprieciated. The room was clean and had an in-room safe. All the Staff personel were very helpful with directions and show and dinning reservations.

the Waldorf is A beautiful piece of history. rooms are small, this is true of most hotels in NYC. she is a grand old hotel that does not show much of her age. if you are looking for the newest thing, she is not for you. if you want to go back in time to a lost age and feel like you are there in the hay day, she is a wonderful fit for you. i will say, the service could be better, however it will do.

I loved my stay at the Waldorf. I splurged by staying there, but the history of the place, the location, and the staff made it all worth it. When the front desk heard I had been hit by a taxi, he gave me a complimentary breakfast. He also showed real concern. I felt very special at the Waldorf=Astoria.

The Waldorf Astoria is situated in a great location just a short walk away from Broadway, 5th Avenue, Central Park, Times Square. The hotel is very impressive and the staff were very helpful and polite. We stayed in a Superior King Double room, the room was spacious & very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the nicest pillows ive ever used before, so much so that I have requested where they get them from to get some for home. The room did not come with tea making facilities, however this was not a problem as the hotel has its own Starbucks near the lobby. We did not eat in the hotel as rather expensive, room service menu for bowl cereal around $12-14! Plent of afforable cafes, restaurants close by. We were very suprised at the time of booking how affordable the hotel was in comparison to say a 3 star chain hotel, for a few extra pound you can enjoy and experience staying in a world famous hotel and would highly recommend The Waldorf Astoria.

This was our first visit to this hotel. Even though we had paid for our trip ahead of time, once we arrived, the hotel upgraded us to a room with a city view at no extra cost. We arrived 2 1/2 hours before check in and we were provided with complimentary coffee, tea, cookies and fruit in an executive room. Our room was ready by the time we were done with tea. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. I would highly recommend this hotel the next time you stay in NYC. Just a note, the room did not have a coffee maker.
