Location
Waka Namya is situated in heart of Penestanan village of Bali and is about 20 kilometres from the city centre. Sembilan Galleryare and Museum Rudana are the major attractions in Bali.

overall the experience was very average & I would not go back to this resort. One of the staff was very pushy to sell the tour packages because they get a commision or cut. The spa services were also very average & basic & the toilet near the reception area was dirty.

Doesn't have the views that the Waka Di Ume has, but certainly accommodates everything else. Far enough away to be extremely quiet (even though we were in the room nearest reception area) with complementary lift into the centre of Ubud only taking a few minutes. A nice little gallery 20 mins down the road too (if you like simple beach scene paintings for a bathroom). It is considerably cheaper (for no less comfort) to arrange transport up to the volcano / paddy terraces / airport through alternative sources. We had a guy driving us for 5 hours (not a guide) for the same price as the airport transfer alone. This is why the pricing is not at the top of my rating. But the room was good value, the staff very friendly, and the poached eggs were perfect!

This hotel is just outside the main township of Ubud and has very comfortable, quiet 1 and 2 bedroomed villas. It is about a five minutes drive by a regular free shuttle bus to the main Ubud centre and you can also walk it if you don't mind a few steep hills in tropical weather. Whilst the food is very good and reasonably priced, there are excellent restaurants in Ubud which any hotel would find hard to beat. A very clean, spacious and comfortable small hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Good for families and couples alike.
