Location
Wailua Bay View lies just 6 km north of Lihue airport on Papaloa Road. This scenic drive from the airport will take you past Wailua River State Park and the Wailua Country Golf Course, and of course, the ocean will be on your right as you make your way to the elegant condos that will be your place to call home while on Kauai.

Noisy location right next to main highway. Air conditioning consisted of 2 swamp coolers and the only rooms with air are on the highway. The bedroom air conditioner was a joke - noisy and damp. Impossible to sleep all night with it on. The beach is for viewing only. The pool area is very small - not really good for kids. Otherwise the room was very well-stocked and clean. The location is central. I'd recommend it only if you plan to spend no time there except to sleep, you bring ear plugs and are used to no air conditioning.

We booked this as part of a package so we really did not know what unit we would get till we checked it. We had 106 a ground floor unit with a great ocean view and no steps to deal with. Unit was a little dated but very clean and well maintained. We found a few minor items missing and the staff replaced them right away. We loved this location being midway up the island for our day trips and beach adventures. Traffic could be a bit heavy from time to time with a bit of noise being the bedrooms are on the back traffic side of the units. But the sound of the surf made up for it. We would stay here again. Very Pleased!
