My first time staying at the W hotel, but it will not truly be my last. I loved everything about my stay. Great room, great view, great food. It was WONDEFUL

I've always loved the W. My last stay was terrible. My family and I had issues with vulgar teenagers at the pool; by the way I don't believe they were guests at the hotel. We asked security numerous times to check and no response. After this issue, we went to the front desk to voice our concerns. We were told that when the hotel offers special rates, they attract a certain type of crowd. I come to the W to avoid that type of crowd. Everything was fine until we received a knock at the door at 1130 PM from the hotel staff with a bottle of wine and cookies, we were already asleep. Finally, at 430 AM we were awoken by 2 extremely loud and intoxicated gentlemen in the hallway.

This was a fun quick trip/getaway. Did a package where parking and two drinks were included. Room was comfortable. The bar is always fun. The location is great for shopping, and hitting the nightlife afterwards. Since Bliss spa is right in the hotel, this was a great deal.

Clean, well located hotel with modern decor that looks best in the evening when you do not see details of slightly worn furniture. DJ at night in the lobby, interesting lights. The best views of the lake and city must be from rooms with even numbers, as odd numbered rooms give the view of a wall politely called city view. This is what we had. The most peculiar thing about city view room accommodation is the window with shutters from room into the bathroom. I am not kidding, no glass, just wooden shutters that do close from either side, but do not lock. The sliding door to the bathroom does not lock either. Neither shutters, not sliding door provide sound insulation, so you can hear every sound from the bathroom. Pool is monopolized by kids at all times, so do not get excited about late pool hours. Overall, for a short leisure stay this is a suitable hotel, but business travelers may want to have free internet in the room (not provided).

i like most things about this hotel. stayed there a few times but there was a mildly annoying noise outside of my room. sounded like a motor running. there's some construction in the area, maybe that had something to do with it or maybe my room was near a large a/c duct.

It was a great bargain ! right on the lake ! staff was great and excellent free car service by Acura! wonderful view of the lake from our room. Only negative thing was they nickle and dime you to use the business room. Would definitely stay there again.

Very lively hotel in great part of town. Easily can walk to Navy Pier, Ohio St beach, Michigan avenue. Close to 2 really good breakfast places. Did not try hotel restaurant. Desk and concierge were extremely helpful, friendly, efficient. Overall vibe of the hotel was excellent: most staff and guests were neat, young, energetic. Very lively lobby scene. Easy to get cabs. room was not the Four Seasons, but decor was up to date and modern. Room was clean. Bathroom excellent. Decent size flat screen TV and wireless internet. Gym average, but all equipment seemed new and well maintained. Indoor pool looked OK but did not use it.

After a tough flight/schedule getting into Chicago, arriving at The W was just what I needed. The atmosphere and the people set things right and before too long I was relaxed and ready to take in the sites and sounds of the city. The W on Lakeshore is located within walking distance of Rush St. and the Navy Pier, and the view from the 26th floor was awesome from both sides of the building - my room looked out over the city, and while waiting for the elevators you get an awesome view of the pier with its ferris wheel and other oddities. After I was settled, I walked to Hugo's Frog Bar on Rush and took in a fantastic meal while watching the MLB home run derby - Big Papi and Gonzalez were in contention until Cano broke it open. The steak was OUTSTANDING and the service was great. Definitely needed the walk back to the hotel after that. All in all, great experience at The W.

We were in Chicago for my daughter's graduation from her medical residency. The festivities were to take place at the W, so we thought it would be good to stay at the same place. The location is convenient to many of the city attractions and right across from Navy Pier. Everything about it is pricey, but the standard of service was excellent. Our room was comfortable with a city view. The food at the celebration dinner was average at best. Surprising that the standard of quality of everything else didn't spill over to the food. The view was fabulous from the 33rd floor dining room.

The room was awesome, we loved the bathroom and the view was breathe taken. The fireworks felts as though I was watching them upfront and in personal. The location was very good for doing any thing and everything you wanted to do. The staff was friendly and courteous. The 33rd floor was the bomb. My stay was Tony da Tiger Great!!!

Overall great place to stay with friendly staff and nice pool/bar/ restaurant. Near beach too and while not in the Loop or immediate Mag Mile areas, it's not too far to walk. Small gripes are no free wi-fi and no tea/coffee maker in room.

This was the 20th hotel we stayed in ,in35 days . It was the most expensive by far and was the smallest room with the noisiest air conditioning . The furnishings were aesthetically pleasing but not particularly useful, the bed was so high it was very difficult to get into (I'm not as young as I used to be) . Apart from that the view was wonderful and all the members of staff were lovely, everyone went out of their way to be helpful, nothing was a trouble everyone smiledand made our stay enjoyable. Thankyou
